Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Community Health Delivery Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time, Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations to work in Miami.
Core Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations supervises the prompt resolution of problems that arise in daily clinical operations. The incumbent collaborates with other service areas in providing a consistent standard of service across the operations. The Supervisor, Clinical Business Operations monitors adherence to policies and ensures procedures are efficient and patient centered.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluates all aspects of clinical operations, including coordination of staff, patient flow, and service delivery are efficient and comply with the appropriate policies and procedures.
- Ensures appropriate training of employees. Provides effective guidance and direction to all support staff.
- Evaluates and monitors job performance. Provides feedback, coaching and development to employees regarding their performance.
- Recommends and institutes process improvements and modifications to ensure work is completed in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner.
- Audits workflow; reviews, analyzes, and develops/revises routine operational procedures.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the changing health care environment. Supports and implements programmatic initiatives for care improvement and cost reduction.
- Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of clinical reimbursement and managed care issues.
- Operates within budget guidelines.
- Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on the controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Core Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
- Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required
- Performance Management: Ability to set performance goals, provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and effectively delegate tasks.
- Training & Development: Providing employee training and motivation to enhance skills.
- Team Leadership: Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
