Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of ground-up commercial construction projects
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and performance
- Coordinate communication between clients, architects, engineers, field teams, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve risks
- Track costs, manage change orders, and maintain budget control
- Provide regular updates and reporting to leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality expectations
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment focused on accountability and results
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
