Chief Of Staff Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a chief of staff in Florida?
There is no state license or Florida-specific certification required to work as a chief of staff. Most Florida employers expect a bachelor's degree and several years of experience in strategy, operations, or business management, with many preferring an MBA. The typical path runs through senior analyst, operations manager, or director-level roles at Florida companies before moving into a chief of staff position supporting a senior executive.
Which companies hire chief of staffs in Florida?
Employers hiring chief of staffs in Florida right now include Banfield Pet Hospital, AJAIA, and Hut 8, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of large healthcare systems, technology firms, and financial services companies means demand is spread across several industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Florida cities have the most chief of staff jobs?
Miami, Tampa, and Fort Lauderdale have the most chief of staff openings in Florida. Miami drives volume through its dense concentration of financial services firms, regional headquarters, and private equity offices, while Tampa's growing tech and healthcare sectors and Orlando's tourism and hospitality corporations round out the top markets for this role.
Are there remote chief of staff jobs in Florida?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical roles because chief of staff work typically involves close proximity to the executive and regular in-person leadership meetings. About 0% of chief of staff openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common than fully remote. Strategic planning and communications tasks are the parts of the role most likely to be performed off-site.
How can I get hired as a chief of staff in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a chief of staff associate or executive business partner role, which larger Florida organizations like AdventHealth, Carnival Corporation, and Florida-based university systems occasionally post for candidates coming from project management or business operations backgrounds. Building experience in operations coordination, executive communications, or strategic planning within a Florida company positions candidates well. A strong MBA from a Florida institution or a project management credential can also accelerate early consideration for these roles.
