We are seeking a highly motivated, driven, hunter-type salesperson and project manager with a minimum of five years of direct commercial roofing industry experience. The ideal candidate has an established background in commercial roofing sales, estimating, roof inspections, proposal development, and project management.
This position requires commercial roofing experience. Residential roofing experience alone does not meet the minimum qualifications.
COMPENSATION
· Base Salary of $75,000 to $95,000 plus commission.
· Annual Target Earnings between $125,000 and $150,000.
· Paid Company Holidays, Sick/Personal Days, etc.
· Health Benefits after 60 days of employment.
· Two Weeks of Paid Vacation after 6 months of employment.
· Ongoing Sales Training and Professional Development.
· Profit Sharing.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a goal-oriented commercial roofing professional who can independently grow business throughout the New York region and manage projects from initial opportunity through completion:
· Utilize multiple forms of prospecting to book appointments with new prospects.
· Participate in networking groups, industry organizations, and professional associations to develop business relationships.
· Develop new sources of leads through networking events, strategic alliances, social selling, and other prospecting activities.
· Build relationships with commercial building owners, property managers, facility managers, and other potential customers.
· Develop, manage, and grow a consistent sales pipeline.
· Conduct outside sales appointments and professional customer presentations.
· Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions and inquiries.
· Perform commercial roof inspections, including visual inspections, core cuts, and probes, as appropriate.
· Identify roofing problems, assess roof conditions and logistical concerns, and recommend viable solutions.
· Apply knowledge of TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and other low-slope commercial roofing systems.
· Prepare accurate project estimates, labor and material requirements, and professional proposals.
· Present recommendations, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
· Create detailed scopes of work for roofing crews and materials lists for purchasing.
· Schedule and manage commercial roofing production from project initiation through completion.
· Coordinate field crews, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
· Monitor quality, timelines, customer satisfaction, and project profitability.
WORK EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of five years of direct experience in the COMMERCIAL ROOFING industry.
· Demonstrated success in commercial roofing sales, estimating, and/or project management.
· Strong knowledge of commercial flat-roof and low-slope roofing systems.
· Experience performing commercial roof inspections and recommending solutions.
· Experience preparing estimates, scopes of work, materials lists, and proposals.
· Ability to manage commercial roofing projects from customer contact through completion.
· Understanding of commercial roofing installation methods, materials, and job-site requirements.
· Superior relationship-building, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Proven willingness to prospect, generate leads, develop appointments, and close business.
· Ability to work independently with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient computer skills; outside commercial roofing sales experience strongly preferred.
· Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
