OneMain is an innovative, digital focused company who is transforming the way our customers think about and use financial products. We use a customer-first approach to develop incredible features and experiences that empower our customers, and our product team is at the center of it all. As a product leader at OneMain, you and the rest of your product team are responsible for improving the financial well-being of our customers while ensuring the health of our business. You’ll do this with a combination of instinct, analytics, empathy, influence, and personal drive to lead your team to build and ship creative solutions to tough problems. Removing these barriers while delivering on our business objectives is core to what our product team does.
An ideal member of the product leadership team has a proven track record of delivering incredible customer experiences and results at scale. You have a strong bias for action, and you’ll do whatever it takes to get it done. You are a strategic thinker who can see over the distant horizon, but also jump right into the mix and own the execution details. You are passionate about solving customer problems and driven to deliver outcomes that help our customers improve their financial lives and our business reach our goals. You can balance the art and science of product management, mixing strong data-driven focus with product intuition to challenge the boundaries of what a great product experience can do.
OneMain Financial is looking for an experienced Product leader to shape and deliver the future of our enterprise Document Management Platform, a shared platform that supports how documents and information move through critical customer and employee experiences.
The platform enables capabilities including document upload and capture across digital, mobile, and branch channels; document generation and e-signature; information classification, extraction, and validation; and secure storage and retrieval. These capabilities support customer journeys such as loan origination and servicing as well as internal teams across the enterprise.
This is a hands-on Product leadership role for someone who can think strategically while rolling up their sleeves to get the work done. You will set the Product direction, but you will also write user stories, prioritize the backlog, participate in testing, solve problems alongside Engineering, and drive initiatives through delivery and adoption. As the leader of a shared platform, you will connect needs across internal teams and end users, influence stakeholders with competing priorities, and build scalable solutions that prevent teams from solving the same problems independently.
In the Role
Own the Product vision, strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end experience for an enterprise shared platform serving internal teams and end users.
Stay hands-on throughout the Product lifecycle, translating needs into requirements and user stories, prioritizing the backlog, defining acceptance criteria, participating in testing, and driving initiatives from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.
Partner closely with Engineering to solve complex problems and design scalable, reusable capabilities that address common needs across multiple products, teams, and customer experiences.
Build strong relationships across the enterprise, influencing stakeholders with differing priorities, making thoughtful tradeoffs, driving decisions, and communicating effectively from Product and Engineering teams through senior leadership.
Drive platform adoption and awareness, proactively identifying new opportunities and ensuring teams understand and leverage shared capabilities rather than creating duplicative solutions.
Identify practical opportunities to use artificial intelligence, Intelligent Document Processing, and automation to simplify experiences, improve accuracy, and reduce manual work.
Lead and develop a Product team member while remaining an active doer and forward thinker who can move seamlessly between strategy, execution, and executive-level Product storytelling.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
7+ years of Product Management, Product Ownership, Technical Product Management, Digital Product, or comparable experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex products from strategy through execution.
Strong hands-on Product experience, including building roadmaps, writing requirements and user stories, managing and prioritizing backlogs, supporting testing, and driving delivery.
Experience designing end-to-end solutions for both internal customers and external users, with the ability to identify common problems and develop scalable solutions across multiple teams or products.
Strong technology fluency and demonstrated ability to partner closely with Engineering around integrations, data, dependencies, solution options, and technical tradeoffs.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities, drive consensus and decisions, and effectively present Product strategy and outcomes to senior leaders.
Demonstrated Product judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to look beyond immediate requests, anticipate future needs, balance strategy with execution, and translate opportunities into measurable outcomes.
Preferred:
Experience owning or scaling a shared enterprise platform serving multiple teams, business functions, products, or user groups.
Experience driving platform adoption and influencing teams to leverage shared capabilities rather than building independent solutions.
Experience applying artificial intelligence, automation, data, or emerging technologies to improve customer or operational experiences.
Experience leading Product modernization, transformation, or the transition from legacy to shared technology capabilities.
Experience operating within a large, complex organization or regulated environment.
Experience leading or developing Product talent while remaining actively engaged in Product execution.
Location:.
This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in New York City, NY, Baltimore, MD, or Irving, TX with expectations of being in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Salary:
Target base salary range for New York, NY and Baltimore, MD is $170K-$210K, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.

Platform Product Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a platform product manager in New York?
Platform product managers in New York are not subject to state licensing or board registration, so the path runs through education and demonstrated experience. Most roles require a bachelor's degree in a technical field, and many New York employers, particularly in fintech and enterprise software, favor candidates with an MBA or a technical master's degree. Building a portfolio that shows platform or API product ownership is the most direct way to qualify for openings in the New York market.
Which companies hire platform product managers in New York?
Employers hiring platform product managers in New York right now include JPMorganChase, Capital One, and Information Technology Senior Management Forum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New York's concentration of financial technology, media, and enterprise software companies means platform product roles here often center on payment infrastructure, content distribution platforms, and developer ecosystem products.
Which New York cities have the most platform product manager jobs?
New York, New City, and Rochester have the most platform product manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because it is home to the headquarters and major offices of the financial services, media, and technology companies that rely most heavily on platform product teams, while any demand in smaller metros typically traces back to satellite offices of those same large employers.
Are there remote platform product manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 86% of platform product manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves roadmap planning, stakeholder alignment, and written communication rather than on-site operations. Roles focused on developer platforms and API products tend to be the most consistently remote-eligible.
How can I get hired as a platform product manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate product manager program at a large New York employer. Companies like Google, Bloomberg, and American Express run structured APM programs in New York that are designed for candidates without prior product management experience, typically drawing from recent graduates in engineering, data science, or business. A lateral move from a business analyst, software engineer, or solutions engineer role within a New York technology or financial services firm is another proven route, and a well-documented portfolio showing a shipped feature or platform improvement provides a meaningful edge in interviews.
Where can I find and apply to platform product manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to platform product manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
