We are an established commercial metal framing and drywall subcontractor seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience estimating and managing commercial metal stud framing and drywall projects and be comfortable taking a project from the bidding and estimating stage through project completion.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, understands the importance of accurate estimating and job costing, and is interested in growing long-term with our company.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial metal framing and drywall estimating/project management preferred
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates and proposals
- Experience with PlanSwift strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction documents
- Estimate, bid and negotiate projects with general contractors
- Review project scope and identify potential exclusions, clarifications and scope discrepancies
- Prepare and track RFIs, change orders and submittal packages
- Monitor project progress, budgets, job costs and labor
- Coordinate with field personnel, general contractors, vendors and suppliers
- Maintain project documentation and contractual deadlines
- Manage multiple projects and bids simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, organized and responsive when working with clients and project teams
Compensation: based on relevant experience and qualifications.
Additional compensation may be considered for candidates with extensive commercial drywall/metal framing estimating and project management experience.
