Summary of Primary Functions:
This position will be responsible to provide full support consultation and resolution directly with customers and dealers. Full support consultation may include assisting with parts, equipment delivery, technical problem resolution, classroom training, on-site training, field technical service, and other duties, as assigned. The expert will be a front facing customer position in which the development of positive impressions and relationships is critical, along with delivering quality and timely solutions. This position directly reports to the Allied Sales Manager. This job description does not include a complete listing of all the duties and functions of the position. Management reserves the right to assign other duties or projects, as necessary.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead all new CemenTech deliveries and setup.
- Assist in the day-to-day duties of working to solve customer problems and answer technical questions.
- Have outstanding telephone and customer relations skills.
- Maintain and nurture existing customer and dealer relationships.
- Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers.
- Travel to customer or dealer locations to train and/or repair equipment (require overnight stays).
- Inspect new equipment before delivery.
- Provide technical input into revisions of manuals.
- Transport truck chassis’ and/or mounted units to vendors for contracted services, as needed.
- Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support.
- Maintain a contact management type database and call log for designated territory.
- Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special deals.
- Provide feedback to other departments.

Key Competencies:
- Road machinery product experience.
- Basic technical aptitude for diagnostics and repair of road machinery equipment.
- Intellectual competencies include high intelligence, problem analysis, creativity, pragmatism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to complete work and assignments with energy and enthusiasm.
- Customer orientation towards service and building relationships.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and possess high personal competencies with integrity, initiative, resourcefulness, and planning.
- Compatible to working extended hours, as necessary.
- Knowledge of road machinery and applications.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL is mandatory (26,000+ w/Air Brake Cert & Clean Driving Record).
- Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.
Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:
- 2-3 years of customer service background with mechanical and service experience required.
- Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Power Point is required.
- Must have a mechanical background.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
