Most project scheduler roles in Florida are obtained by combining a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or business with hands-on scheduling experience. Florida does not require a state-issued license for project schedulers, but earning a PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or PMP certification through the Project Management Institute significantly strengthens your candidacy, particularly in Florida's competitive defense, aerospace, and large-scale construction markets.
How much do project schedulers make in Florida?

Which companies hire project schedulers in Florida?
Employers hiring project schedulers in Florida right now include Universal Creative, Jobot, and Bauer Foundation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of defense contractors, large hospital systems, and major construction firms means demand for scheduling professionals stays consistent across both the public and private sectors.
Which Florida cities have the most project scheduler jobs?
Orlando, Tampa, and Lithia have the most project scheduler openings in Florida. Orlando leads because of its dense concentration of defense, aerospace, and theme park infrastructure projects, while Tampa and Jacksonville generate steady demand through port expansion, healthcare construction, and active commercial development driving a continuous need for scheduling professionals.
Are there remote project scheduler jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely analytical fields because project schedulers often need to coordinate directly with on-site teams and field personnel. About 0% of project scheduler openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the remote-eligible positions typically focused on data reporting, schedule analysis, and program controls work that does not require a physical site presence.
How can I get hired as a project scheduler in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a project coordinator, planning analyst, or scheduling assistant role with a large Florida construction or defense firm, where you can learn Primavera P6 on the job. Companies like Turner Construction and Skanska, which operate throughout Florida, regularly bring on junior schedulers and coordinators.
