Focus your search on Baltimore's dominant hiring sectors: healthcare systems, federal and defense contractors based near Fort Meade, and financial institutions concentrated in the Inner Harbor and Harbor East districts. Candidates with experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, and tools like Jira or Salesforce stand out locally. Targeting mid-size health IT firms and government-adjacent contractors gives you the strongest odds in this market.
Which companies hire business systems analysts in Baltimore?

Requirements-definition, process mapping, and reporting work are the tasks most commonly performed fully remote in Baltimore-based positions.
How can I get a business systems analyst job in Baltimore with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Baltimore is through healthcare IT support or junior analyst roles at the city's large health systems such as Johns Hopkins Health System or University of Maryland Medical System, which frequently hire entry-level candidates and promote from within. Lateral moves from QA testing, data analyst, or project coordinator roles also open doors quickly. A working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with EHR platforms like Epic gives early-career candidates a clear edge locally.
