Case Manager Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a case manager job in Phoenix?
The fastest path into Phoenix case management is through its large behavioral health network and managed care organizations, which hire consistently across central Phoenix and the East Valley. Candidates with experience in Arizona's AHCCCS-funded programs stand out, as do those familiar with community mental health settings. Highlighting bilingual skills, particularly Spanish, and any background in crisis intervention gives Phoenix applicants a concrete edge in a market where caseloads skew heavily toward complex, high-need populations.
Which companies hire case managers in Phoenix?
Phoenix case manager roles are posted by Emblem Hospice Central, Morgan & Morgan, and Optum and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market is anchored by large integrated health systems, regional managed care plans, and a dense network of nonprofit behavioral health agencies serving the greater Phoenix metro.
Are there remote case manager jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role type: hands-on and field-based positions remain largely on-site, while utilization review, telephonic case management, and insurance-side roles are far more remote-friendly. About 50% of case manager openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the highest concentration of those in managed care and insurance utilization roles headquartered in the Camelback Corridor.
How can I get a case manager job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Phoenix is a care coordinator or patient navigator role at one of the city's federally qualified health centers or AHCCCS-contracted behavioral health agencies, which regularly hire candidates with a bachelor's degree and limited direct experience. Organizations operating in South Phoenix and west-side community health clinics often prioritize lived community experience and language skills over formal case management history. From there, internal promotions into full case manager roles are common within six to twelve months.
