Certified Medical Assistant Jobs in Spokane, WA

Goodwin Health Café is a Behavioral Health provider, with two clinics located in North Spokane. We are looking to hire a motivated, reliable person who is a Certified Medical Assistant.

Hours and days to be determined. Will be either three ten hours shifts or four ten hour shifts. Closed on Weekends.

PLEASE do not apply if you are not a CERTIFIED Medical Assistant.

We are a small privately owned specialty clinic offering Psychiatric services. The people who work here really love their jobs and care about the success of the patients, staff, and the clinic. We are looking for a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

This will predominately be a Medical Admin. Assistant Position, with some direct patient care.

Qualifications:

· Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with an active certification with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Health career Association (NHA)

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

· Proof of Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Certification

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

· Strong interpersonal abilities with a positive, can-do attitude

· Proven reliability and capacity for quick learning

· Attention to detail and excellent time management

· Training/experience in mental health clinical care is preferred but not required

· Proficiency in navigating electronic platforms

· Problem-solving skills and commitment to adhering to professional standards, clinic policies, and federal and state requirements

· Willingness to wear multiple hats and learn different roles to be able to function in a small team.

· Thrive in a busy environment, sometimes working with back-to-back appointments.

Duties:

· Scheduling

· Answering phones / returning calls / routing calls to the appropriate staff member

· Insurance Eligibility Checks

· Creating Charts for New Patients

· Data Entry including Insurance Prior Authorizations

· A wide range of administrative tasks

· Working with all Medical Providers to ensure patients’ needs are met

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Additional tasks as assigned by the Office Manager
