We’re building a world of health around every individual — shaping a more connected, convenient and compassionate health experience. At CVS Health®, you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues who care deeply, innovate with purpose, hold ourselves accountable and prioritize safety and quality in everything we do. Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.
Position Summary
At CVS Health, our purpose is to simplify health care, one person, one family, and one community at a time, with the ambition to be America’s most trusted health care company. Healthcare Analytics powers that purpose, building AI-powered analytics solutions to help care reach consumers affordably and on time.
This role is the right hand to the SVP leading Healthcare Analytics. You will own the numbers that keep the organization funded and accountable, the processes that keep it running day to day, and the communications that share its success stories with senior leadership and colleagues. This is a high-visibility seat for someone who wants to operate at the intersection of innovation, strategy, finance, and storytelling inside one of the largest analytics organizations in healthcare.
What you will own:
- Financial stewardship: managing the capital and operating budget across the portfolio, track value realization and ROI against committed initiatives, and build the financial narrative for budget reviews with business partners.
- Operational rhythm: run the recruiting pipeline, manage onboarding so new colleagues get up to speed effectively, organize leadership onsite workshops, and have meeting cadence to drive transparency and engagement.
- Executive communication: produce executive-ready materials, including leadership updates and other communications to represent the organization’s work with partners and stakeholders, both internal and external. This includes crafting the agenda and content for town halls.
- Strategic planning and performance management support: partner on annual and mid-year planning cycles, including goal setting and tracking progress against commitments through scorecard and metrics updates.
- Talent management processes: run talent reviews and calibration, analyze Colleague Engagement survey results and drive the resulting action items, and support talent growth.
- Cross-functional coordination: serve as a connective point with peer Chiefs of Staff and the broader Digital, Data, Analytics and Technology organization to share best practices and coordinate updates.
- Issue resolution: identify and clear the blockers that slow down initiatives, escalating to the SVP as needed.
What makes someone successful:
- Genuine comfort with numbers, understanding what they mean for our scorecard and overall budget.
- Process discipline combined with creative solutioning and the instinct to build a system once rather than solve the same problem ad hoc every quarter.
- Strong executive presence in writing, knowing how to lead with key compelling messages and inspiring stories. High level understanding of AI to enable effective storytelling.
- Judgment about what needs the SVP’s attention and what can be handled independently.
- Comfort with ambiguity and change management, given all the exciting opportunities and disruption that AI is bringing to our field.
- Proficiency with (or eagerness to learn) using AI tools in their work to augment their role and provide support to the broader Healthcare Analytics leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of business leadership experience, including as a Chief of Staff, with expertise in budget management, operational process development, and executive-level communications.
- 8+ years of Excel, analytics, and reporting experience, with strong financial acumen and a proven ability to track ROI, measure value realization, and deliver executive insights.
- 6+ years of experience managing and optimizing structured business processes, including recruiting operations, onboarding programs, and cross-functional governance, with a proven ability to drive execution and operational excellence.
- 6+ years of excellent written communication experience, with a proven ability to develop executive-ready materials with minimal guidance from senior leaders.
- 5+ years of experience thriving in fast-paced, matrixed organizations, with a proven ability to drive results independently and without direct team support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with a product-oriented way of working, including how teams organize around products, ownership, and delivery.
- Healthcare or insurance industry experience.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA or Master’s degree in a quantitative or business field preferred.

Chief Compliance Officer Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a chief compliance officer job in Washington?
Washington's chief compliance officer market is driven by federal agencies, government contractors, financial institutions, and health systems, so candidates with regulatory expertise specific to those sectors stand out most. Concentrations of roles sit along K Street, in NoMa, and in Bethesda and Arlington just across the District line. Deep familiarity with federal procurement rules, financial regulation, or healthcare compliance gives applicants a clear edge over generalist candidates here.
Which companies hire chief compliance officers in Washington?
Employers hiring chief compliance officers in Washington right now include Cushman & Wakefield, United States Department of Justice, and First Books, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Washington draws a mix of federal contractors, trade associations, multinational law and consulting firms, financial institutions, and large health systems, all of which maintain active compliance functions.
Are there remote chief compliance officer jobs in Washington?
Yes, though remote availability varies because chief compliance officer work often requires close coordination with legal, audit, and executive teams, which pushes many roles toward hybrid. About 53% of chief compliance officer openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the arrangement most common among policy advisory and financial compliance roles. Program oversight and government contractor compliance roles in Washington tend to require more on-site presence.
How can I get a chief compliance officer job in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Washington is through compliance analyst or regulatory affairs coordinator roles at federal contractors, trade associations, or large health systems, where structured teams and internal mentorship are common. Organizations in the K Street lobbying corridor and defense contracting firms in Northern Virginia frequently hire compliance associates who advance into senior roles over time. Building knowledge of federal acquisition regulations or financial compliance frameworks early makes a candidate far more competitive in this market.
Which industries hire the most chief compliance officers in Washington?
Washington chief compliance officer roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Technology & Software, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Washington's proximity to federal regulatory bodies, its dense network of government contractors, and its large health policy and financial institution presence make it one of the highest-demand markets in the country for compliance leadership.
