The Barrington School of Jerome is a new, premium early childhood center in Jerome Village (Plain City). Ten age-specific classrooms, an indoor gross-motor room, two secure play yards, and a full kitchen serving organic, balanced meals. We strive to run low ratios so teachers can actually teach, and we're building a front office to match.
Our front office supports our families and a growing team. We need an organized, people-first Administrative Assistant to keep paperwork, records, and the front desk running so our directors can stay focused on children, staff, and families.
What you'll do:
- Greet families and visitors; manage the front desk, phone, and email inbox
- Maintain child and staff files to Ohio licensing standards (enrollment packets, immunizations, medical forms, staff credentials and training records)
- Process new-enrollment paperwork and keep records current in our childcare software
- Track staff training, background checks, and certifications, and flag what's expiring
- Support billing data entry, supply orders, and general office tasks
- Help in classrooms occasionally when needed
What we're looking for:
- 1+ year of office, front desk, or administrative experience; childcare or school office is preferred
- Very organized and detail-oriented; comfortable with Google Workspace and childcare management software
- Warm, professional communicator with families
- 18+ with a high school diploma or GED; able to pass an Ohio BCI/FBI background check
Schedule: Part-time or full-time, 30-40 hours per week, weekday daytime hours set with the director.
