We are seeking multiple experienced Project Engineers to support roadway and highway construction projects in San Antonio and Austin.
You will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to coordinate project documentation, budgets, schedules and field activities. The position includes responsibilities in both the project office and on the jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and track RFIs, submittals and project correspondence.
- Maintain project logs, construction records and quantity takeoffs.
- Track project costs, support budgets and prepare cost reports.
- Coordinate schedules for field crews, subcontractors and material deliveries.
- Review construction drawings and specifications and help resolve project issues.
- Communicate with owner representatives, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support compliance with project safety and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related construction discipline.
- At least 4 years of full time heavy civil, roadway or highway construction experience as a Project Engineer after completing graduation.
- Contractor side experience with project documentation, cost tracking and field coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using Primavera P6.
- Willingness to work in person in San Antonio.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $100,000–$125,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
