Claims Resolution Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a claims resolution specialist in Florida?
Most Florida employers hire candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, combined with direct experience in claims processing or medical billing. Florida does not require a state-issued license specifically for this role, but employers strongly prefer candidates who have completed coursework or earned a certification in medical coding such as the Certified Professional Coder credential. Starting in a billing, coding, or patient accounts position at a Florida hospital system or insurer is the most common path into the role.
Which companies hire claims resolution specialists in Florida?
Companies currently hiring claims resolution specialists in Florida include CVS Health, LogixHealth, and Freedom Finance Solutions, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Florida's concentration of Medicare Advantage plans and large regional health systems means hiring activity is especially steady among managed care organizations and multi-state insurers with Florida headquarters or major service centers.
Which Florida cities have the most claims resolution specialist jobs?
Florida, Orlando, and Wynwood have the most claims resolution specialist openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its density of managed care plans and large hospital networks serving one of the country's highest-volume insurance markets, while Tampa and Jacksonville anchor significant back-office and claims operations for regional insurers and national payers with Florida campuses.
Are there remote claims resolution specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, because claims resolution is a desk-based, documentation-driven role that translates well to remote work. About 75% of claims resolution specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly payers and health systems have extended flexible arrangements since expanding their distributed workforces. The parts of the role most likely to be fully remote are denial management, written appeals, and payer correspondence rather than roles requiring real-time coordination with clinical or front-desk staff.
How can I get hired as a claims resolution specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a patient accounts representative or billing coordinator role at a Florida hospital system or large physician group, where on-the-job exposure to claim denials and payer correspondence builds directly transferable skills. AdventHealth, HCA Florida, and BayCare Health System run structured onboarding programs for entry-level revenue cycle staff across their Florida facilities. Completing a medical billing and coding certificate through a Florida community college and pairing it with a Certified Professional Coder exam attempt signals readiness to employers even without prior claims-specific experience.
Where can I find and apply to claims resolution specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to claims resolution specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find the roles that fit your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that match.
