Field Representative Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field representative in Florida?
The path depends on the industry. For insurance field representatives, Florida requires a license issued by the Florida Department of Financial Services, which involves completing a pre-licensing course and passing a state exam before you can solicit or sell policies. For healthcare, utility, or government contractor roles, a relevant bachelor's degree combined with demonstrated sales or outreach experience is the typical entry point, with no additional state licensing required.
Which companies hire field representatives in Florida?
Companies currently hiring field representatives in Florida include AT&T, DSI Systems, and RDSolutions, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's large insurance, healthcare, and consumer services sectors mean demand for field representatives is spread across both regional headquarters and national companies with major Florida operations.
Which Florida cities have the most field representative jobs?
Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa lead Florida for field representative openings. Miami's concentration of insurance carriers, healthcare networks, and multinational firms drives the highest volume, while Tampa's growing corporate base and Orlando's tourism-adjacent service economy support steady demand, and any smaller markets on the list typically reflect a major employer or regional headquarters anchored there.
Are there remote field representative jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Field representative roles are by nature territory-based and client-facing, which limits full remote arrangements. About 54% of field representative openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to concentrate in inside-sales support, reporting, or account coordination functions rather than traditional field work.
How can I get hired as a field representative in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to associate or junior field representative roles at large Florida insurers and healthcare plans, where companies like Florida Blue and Humana regularly bring on candidates with a relevant degree and strong communication skills in place of direct field experience. Moving laterally from customer service, retail management, or inside sales is a recognized route, and obtaining a Florida Department of Financial Services 2-15 or 2-40 license before applying makes a candidate noticeably more competitive for insurance-track positions.
Where can I find and apply to field representative jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to field representative jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly through each listing.
