Field Representative Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field representative in Texas?
Most field representative roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, though some employers accept equivalent experience. There is no single state-issued license that applies to the role broadly, but certain specialties require additional credentials: field representatives in insurance must hold a Texas Department of Insurance license, and those in pharmaceutical or medical device sales often need relevant certifications. Building a record of outside sales or client-facing work is the clearest path to hiring.
Which companies hire field representatives in Texas?
Companies currently hiring field representatives in Texas include AT&T, Schneider Electric, and RDSolutions, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's scale across energy, healthcare, logistics, and telecommunications means the range of employers is broad, with both large corporate headquarters and regional offices generating steady field representative demand.
Which Texas cities have the most field representative jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Austin have the most field representative openings in Texas. Houston's concentration of energy, healthcare, and logistics companies anchors the largest share of postings, Dallas-Fort Worth's corporate headquarters density drives strong demand across technology and financial services, and Austin's fast-growing tech and government sectors support a rising number of openings in those specialties.
Are there remote field representative jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're rare. Field representative work is fundamentally territory-based and client-facing, so most roles require regular in-person travel. About 44% of field representative openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with those positions most often found in government affairs, health plan outreach, or inside-field hybrid roles where client meetings are scheduled rather than daily.
How can I get hired as a field representative in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an inside sales, customer service, or account coordinator role at a large Texas employer, then moving into field work once you have documented client outcomes. Major Texas-based companies like AT&T and Sysco run structured sales associate programs that place candidates without prior field experience. A Texas Department of Insurance license adds immediate credibility for those pursuing insurance field roles, and candidates targeting healthcare or pharmaceutical fields can strengthen their applications through relevant science coursework or medical device certifications.
Where can I find and apply to field representative jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to field representative jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the listings by city or specialty to find roles that fit your background, then apply directly to the ones that match your experience and availability.
