Attention to Detail

Systems Thinking
You recognize how changes in one area can affect other parts of a system.

Ideal Candidate Summary
The ideal candidate is the person who:

Configuration Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a configuration specialist in Florida?
Most Florida employers expect a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or systems engineering alongside platform-specific certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or a Salesforce credential. Florida has no state-issued license for this role, so the path centers on building hands-on experience through internships, help-desk work, or systems administrator roles at Florida-based employers, then earning the vendor certifications that hiring managers look for.
Which companies hire configuration specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring configuration specialists in Florida right now include Garmin, L3Harris, and Qualifacts, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of defense contractors, large hospital systems, and regional financial institutions means demand stays broad across industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which Florida cities have the most configuration specialist jobs?
Tampa, Miramar, and Palm Bay post the most configuration specialist openings in Florida. Tampa and Orlando lead because of their dense mix of defense contractors, technology firms, and large healthcare networks, while Miami draws demand from financial services companies and multinational corporate headquarters that run complex enterprise platforms requiring dedicated configuration support.
Are there remote configuration specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, and they're fairly common for this role. Configuration specialist work is largely desk-based and platform-driven, which makes it well suited to remote or hybrid arrangements. About 0% of configuration specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the highest remote share in SaaS platform configuration and IT service management roles.
How can I get hired as a configuration specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a help-desk or IT support role, where you already handle ticketing systems and basic platform administration. Florida's large hospital networks and defense primes regularly hire IT associates and junior systems administrators who can transition into configuration work. Earning a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Salesforce Administrator credential before applying signals hands-on capability and gives you a concrete edge over candidates who rely on degree credentials alone.
Where can I find and apply to configuration specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to configuration specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and experience levels. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly through each listing.
