Storm Duty Requirements
Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY / DETAILS
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting application development and delivery activities for the ADI program. The selected student will assist with requirements, configuration, coding, testing, documentation, and issue resolution under the guidance of experienced team members. The role offers exposure to the software development lifecycle, enterprise applications, integration, and agile delivery practices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Application Development Support: Assist with coding, configuration, scripts, prototypes, or low-code solutions based on approved requirements and team standards.
- Testing and Quality: Prepare test data, execute test cases, document results, and support defect identification, triage, and retesting.
- Requirements and Design: Participate in discussions with business and technical partners; help document user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and solution details.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain development notes, configuration records, support procedures, release documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Team Delivery: Participate in team meetings, demonstrations, code or design reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
PHYSICAL LOCATION OF INTERNSHIP
605 Lake Kathy Drive, Brandon, FL 33510 (primary reporting location; work assignments may include meetings or activities at other company locations, as business needs require).
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / GPA
The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university or college undergraduate or graduate-level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program is required.
