Client Associate Jobs in Alabama: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client associate in Alabama?
Most Alabama employers require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with industry licensing through FINRA, typically the Series 7 and Series 66 or Series 63 registrations. Employers in brokerage and investment advisory firms sponsor new hires for these exams during onboarding. Candidates with prior client service experience in banking or insurance, even without securities licenses, are competitive for associate-level roles that offer sponsored exam preparation.
Which companies hire client associates in Alabama?
Employers hiring client associates in Alabama right now include Bank of America, Veritext, and Waverly Advisors, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Birmingham's concentration of regional banks and investment offices makes it the state's most active market, while Huntsville's expanding financial sector is generating steady demand as well.
Which Alabama cities have the most client associate jobs?
Birmingham, Anniston, and Huntsville account for the largest share of client associate openings in Alabama. Birmingham drives volume as the state's financial services hub, home to the regional headquarters of major banks and wealth management firms, while Huntsville's growth in professional services and Mobile's port-adjacent commercial sector support consistent hiring in those metros.
Are there remote client associate jobs in Alabama?
Yes, but they're less common than in fully desk-based fields, since client associates often work alongside advisors and clients in person. About 50% of client associate openings tied to Alabama are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid schedules more typical than fully remote arrangements. Back-office support and portfolio administration functions within client associate roles are the most likely to allow remote days.
How can I get hired as a client associate in Alabama with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a bank branch or credit union in a client service or personal banker role, which builds the relationship skills and regulatory familiarity Alabama employers look for. Regions Bank and Protective Life both run associate and development programs that accept candidates without securities licenses and sponsor FINRA exam preparation. Tellers, loan processors, and insurance customer service representatives frequently move laterally into client associate roles, and completing a Series 7 or 66 exam independently strengthens any application significantly.
Where can I find and apply to client associate jobs in Alabama?
You can find and apply to client associate jobs in Alabama on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, and other Alabama markets. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit.
