Client Associate Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client associate in Ohio?
Most client associate roles in Ohio require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with FINRA licensing. The Series 7 and Series 66 are the most commonly required licenses, and many Ohio employers will sponsor candidates through the exam process during onboarding. Candidates typically register through FINRA's Central Registration Depository. Some roles accept candidates who are unlicensed but must complete licensing within a set period after hire.
Which companies hire client associates in Ohio?
Employers hiring client associates in Ohio right now include Bank of America, JPMorganChase, and UBS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Ohio's concentration of regional bank headquarters and independent advisory firms means steady hiring across both large institutional employers and boutique wealth management practices.
Which Ohio cities have the most client associate jobs?
Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland account for the largest share of client associate openings in Ohio. Columbus leads because of its dense concentration of financial services headquarters and regional bank operations, while Cleveland and Cincinnati anchor strong wealth management and brokerage markets that draw consistent hiring from both national firms and locally headquartered advisory groups.
Are there remote client associate jobs in Ohio?
Yes, though they are less common than in purely analytical or back-office roles. About 47% of client associate openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the client-facing nature of the role. Tasks like portfolio reporting, email correspondence, and scheduling are often done remotely, while in-person client meetings and compliance reviews typically require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a client associate in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a financial services assistant or operations coordinator role at one of Ohio's larger bank branches or regional advisory offices, where firms like Huntington Bancshares and Fifth Third Bank run structured associate programs for new graduates. Completing a Series 7 or Series 66 exam before applying gives candidates a concrete edge. Lateral moves from banking teller, loan officer assistant, or customer service roles at Ohio-based institutions are also a common on-ramp into client associate positions.
Where can I find and apply to client associate jobs in Ohio?
You can find and apply to client associate jobs in Ohio on Migrate Mate, which lists current Ohio openings. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your experience and preferences, and apply directly to whichever ones fit your background.
