Client Associate Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client associate in Kansas?
Most client associate roles in Kansas require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, combined with a FINRA securities license such as the Series 7 or Series 63, which candidates obtain through FINRA's registration process. Kansas does not maintain a separate state licensing board for this role, but employers typically expect or sponsor licensure before or shortly after hiring. Relevant coursework and internship experience at Kansas financial institutions strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
Which companies hire client associates in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring client associates in Kansas include Aprio, Bank of America, and Ameriprise Financial, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kansas's concentration of regional banks, independent wealth management firms, and insurance companies headquartered in Wichita and the Kansas City metro area makes the state a consistent source of openings in this field.
Which Kansas cities have the most client associate jobs?
Overland Park, Topeka, and Leawood have the most client associate openings in Kansas. Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro drive the highest volume thanks to their concentration of financial services firms, insurance carriers, and corporate headquarters, while Wichita generates steady demand through regional banks and wealth management practices serving the agricultural and aviation business communities rooted there.
Are there remote client associate jobs in Kansas?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical roles, since client associate work often involves in-person relationship management and on-site collaboration with advisors. About 100% of client associate openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements more typical than fully remote. Tasks such as portfolio reporting, client communications, and document preparation are the functions most frequently performed off-site.
How can I get hired as a client associate in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to associate or client service representative roles at Kansas regional banks such as INTRUST Bank or Capitol Federal, which regularly onboard candidates from adjacent roles like bank teller, customer service representative, or administrative assistant. Many Overland Park-area wealth management firms offer structured training programs for unlicensed candidates willing to pursue their Series 63 during onboarding. Building familiarity with CRM tools and financial planning software, even through coursework or personal projects, gives applicants a concrete edge over other entry-level candidates.
Where can I find and apply to client associate jobs in Kansas?
