Who's Hiring

Client Support Specialist Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a client support specialist job in Chicago?
The strongest path into a client support specialist role in Chicago is targeting the Loop's financial services firms, River North's technology companies, and the growing healthcare tech employers in the Streeterville and Illinois Medical District corridors. Candidates who demonstrate CRM proficiency, clear written communication, and experience managing client escalations stand out in Chicago's competitive market. Networking through local professional associations and applying directly to employers in those districts gives you a concrete edge over remote applicants.
Which companies hire client support specialists in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring client support specialists in Chicago include CIBC, Advyzon, and Octus, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Chicago's employer mix skews toward large financial institutions, insurance carriers, and mid-size B2B software companies, all of which maintain dedicated client support teams in the city.
Are there remote client support specialist jobs in Chicago?
Yes, client support specialist work is well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements because the role centers on communication, ticketing systems, and account management rather than physical presence. About 100% of client support specialist openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting widespread adoption among the city's technology and financial services employers. Account management and tier-two support functions within those sectors tend to carry the most flexible location policies.
How can I get a client support specialist job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Chicago is a customer-facing coordinator or support associate role at one of the city's many insurance companies, fintech startups, or mid-market software firms, where client support teams regularly hire candidates with strong communication skills and minimal prior experience. Community college certificate programs in business communication available through City Colleges of Chicago can strengthen an application, and lateral moves from retail banking or hospitality roles in the city are a well-recognized path that Chicago employers accept.
