Entry Level Clinic Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level clinic director job?
Start by gaining hands-on experience through clinical internships, practicum placements, or entry level coordinator roles that expose you to scheduling, staff oversight, and patient flow. Employers at this level often look for candidates with a relevant healthcare degree, familiarity with clinic operations, and demonstrated leadership in a team setting, even in a limited capacity. Tailoring your resume to highlight those experiences gives you a clear edge.
Which companies hire entry level clinic directors?
Companies hiring entry level clinic directors right now include CommonSpirit Health, Deaconess Health System, and Trinity Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this experience level, hiring tends to come from outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, and regional healthcare groups that build management pipelines from within.
Are there remote entry level clinic director jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level are on-site given the hands-on nature of clinic operations. About 1% of entry level clinic director openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve administrative or care coordination functions rather than direct facility management.
Are these new grad clinic director jobs?
Yes, many of these postings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates with little to no professional experience. A new grad friendly listing typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or clinical rotations toward eligibility, or values a strong academic portfolio over a long work history. Look for postings that mention training programs or mentorship.
Which industries hire the most entry level clinic directors?
Entry Level clinic director roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Agriculture & Farming, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate high volumes of outpatient and specialty clinics that need early-career leaders to manage day-to-day operations under senior oversight.
