Entry Level Clinical Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level clinical assistant job?
Entry level clinical assistant roles typically look for candidates with a high school diploma or associate degree, basic patient care or administrative coursework, and hands-on experience from a clinical internship, externship, or volunteer work. Certifications like a CNA or phlebotomy credential give new applicants a clear edge. Tailoring your resume to highlight patient interaction and any clinical setting exposure, even brief, strengthens every application at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level clinical assistants?
Companies hiring entry level clinical assistants right now include MultiCare Health System, Orlando Health, and Johns Hopkins University, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including hospital systems, private physician practices, outpatient clinics, and specialty care centers that regularly bring on new graduates to support their clinical teams.
Are there remote entry level clinical assistant jobs?
Yes, though the majority of clinical assistant roles are in-person due to direct patient care duties. About 5% of entry level clinical assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be administrative or telehealth-support positions rather than hands-on clinical roles. Candidates open to on-site work will find the widest range of entry level opportunities.
Are these new grad clinical assistant jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior clinical assistant roles. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience and treats completed internships, clinical rotations, or a strong portfolio of patient care coursework as equivalent to paid work history. If a posting lists experience as preferred rather than required, it is generally open to new grad applicants.
Which industries hire the most entry level clinical assistants?
Entry Level clinical assistant roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring at this level because they rely on a steady pipeline of new graduates to fill patient-facing and administrative support roles as their clinical teams grow or turn over.
