Entry Level Pharmacy Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level pharmacy manager job?
Entry level pharmacy manager roles typically look for candidates with a PharmD or relevant pharmacy degree, completed internships or clinical rotations, and any leadership experience from school or volunteer work. Highlighting your ability to manage workflow, counsel patients, and work with pharmacy technicians gives you an edge at this stage, even without years of full-time experience behind you.
Which companies hire entry level pharmacy managers?
Companies hiring entry level pharmacy managers right now include Walgreens, CVS Health, and Walmart, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Both large retail pharmacy chains and regional health systems commonly hire at this level, often bringing on new graduates directly into manager-track or associate manager roles.
Are there remote entry level pharmacy manager jobs?
Yes, though most pharmacy manager roles are on-site by nature. About 2% of entry level pharmacy manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be in areas like specialty pharmacy oversight, telepharmacy, or pharmacy operations coordination rather than traditional dispensing environments.
Are these new grad pharmacy manager jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad pharmacy manager roles that welcome recent graduates and junior candidates with zero to two years of experience. A new-grad-friendly posting typically accepts internship or rotation hours in place of full-time experience, values a completed pharmacy degree, and does not require prior management tenure as a strict prerequisite.
Which industries hire the most entry level pharmacy managers?
Entry Level pharmacy manager roles concentrate in Retail, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because high prescription volume, regulatory requirements, and patient-facing service models create consistent demand for qualified graduates who are ready to step into a management capacity early in their careers.
