Warby Parker was founded with a mission: to inspire and impact the world with vision, purpose, and style.
We're constantly asking ourselves how we can do more and make a greater impact, and that starts by reimagining everything that a company and industry can be. We want to demonstrate that a business can scale while doing good in the world, without charging a premium for it. And we’ve learned that it takes creativity, empathy, and innovation to achieve that goal.
Since the day we launched in 2010, we’ve pioneered ideas, designed products, and developed technologies that help people see. We offer everything you need for happier eyes at a price that leaves you with money in your pocket, from designer-quality glasses and contacts to eye exams and vision tests, and you can meet us online, at our stores, or even in your home. Wherever and whenever you need it, we’re there to make exceptional vision care simple and accessible. (Delightful, too.)
Ultimately, we believe in vision for all, which is why for every pair of glasses or sunglasses we sell, a pair of glasses is distributed to someone in need through our Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program.

Entry Level Optician Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level optician job?
Focus on completing your opticianry training or apprenticeship and getting licensed in your state, since most employers require state licensure or active candidacy before hiring. Highlight any internship hours, frame dispensing experience, and emphasize soft skills like patient communication. Employers hiring at the entry level often value hands-on optical lab or retail experience over a long work history.
Which companies hire entry level opticians?
Companies hiring entry level opticians right now include Warby Parker, Oakley, and MyEyeDr., based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At the entry level, optical retail chains, independent eye care practices, and hospital-based vision clinics tend to post the most junior openings, often pairing new hires with experienced optometrists or senior opticians for on-the-job development.
Are there remote entry level optician jobs?
Yes, though most optician work requires in-person patient interaction. About 6% of entry level optician openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles typically involve optical customer service, virtual consultations, or administrative support rather than hands-on dispensing. On-site positions remain the dominant format for candidates starting out in this field.
Are these new grad optician jobs?
Yes, the entry level optician openings listed here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or supervised clinical hours toward requirements, or values a strong training portfolio in place of a traditional work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level opticians?
Entry Level optician roles concentrate in Medical Devices, Retail, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they rely on high patient or customer volume and regularly bring on junior staff to support licensed optometrists and manage frame dispensing, adjustments, and contact lens fittings.
