Entry Level Nursing Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level nursing assistant job?
Start by completing a state-approved nursing assistant training program and passing the CNA certification exam if your state requires it. At the entry level, hiring managers look for completed clinical hours, a basic understanding of patient care routines, and reliability. Highlighting internship rotations, volunteer work in care settings, or a completed training program gives you a real edge over candidates with no hands-on background.
Which companies hire entry level nursing assistants?
Companies hiring entry level nursing assistants right now include Saber Healthcare, National HealthCare Corporation, and PruittHealth, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring is common across long-term care facilities, hospital systems, and home health agencies, all of which regularly bring on new and junior candidates to fill direct patient care roles.
Are there remote entry level nursing assistant jobs?
Yes, though most nursing assistant work is hands-on and on-site by nature. About 2% of entry level nursing assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those roles typically involve administrative support, care coordination, or telehealth assistance rather than direct bedside care. On-site positions remain the clear majority at this level.
Are these new grad nursing assistant jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior nursing assistant roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts completed clinical internships or training rotations in place of paid work history, and does not require prior full-time employment. Look for language like 'no experience required' or 'training provided' as clear signals.
Which industries hire the most entry level nursing assistants?
Entry Level nursing assistant roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive consistent entry level hiring because direct patient care demand is steady year-round, and facilities regularly need new and junior staff to support nurses and clinical teams in day-to-day care delivery.
