Clinical Sales Manager Jobs in Mississippi: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical sales manager in Mississippi?
Most clinical sales manager positions in Mississippi require a bachelor's degree, typically in life sciences, nursing, or business, followed by several years in medical sales or clinical roles. Mississippi does not issue a state license specific to clinical sales management, but employers strongly prefer candidates who already hold relationships with Mississippi health systems and understand the state's rural and urban care delivery landscape. Progressing from a territory rep role into management is the most common path.
How much do clinical sales managers make in Mississippi?
Clinical sales managers in Mississippi earn a median of about $108,750 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $58,350 for the lowest 10% to over $217,460 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire clinical sales managers in Mississippi?
Companies currently hiring clinical sales managers in Mississippi include HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, Baptist Memorial Health Care, and University of Mississippi Medical Center, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Mississippi's concentration of regional hospital networks and outpatient surgery centers also means that medical device distributors serving the Gulf South region post regularly for management roles based in the state.
Which Mississippi cities have the most clinical sales manager jobs?
Jackson, Flowood, and Natchez post the highest number of clinical sales manager openings in Mississippi. Jackson drives the largest share as the state capital and home to major health systems, while Gulfport and Hattiesburg draw postings because of their regional medical centers and proximity to Gulf Coast outpatient and specialty care facilities that device and pharma companies prioritize.
Are there remote clinical sales manager jobs in Mississippi?
Yes, but they're rare. Clinical sales management is fundamentally a field-based role that requires in-person contact with physicians, hospital procurement teams, and clinical staff, so most positions require regular on-site presence. About 17% of clinical sales manager openings tied to Mississippi are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and the remote component typically covers administrative duties such as forecasting, team calls, and CRM reporting rather than core sales activities.
How can I get hired as a clinical sales manager in Mississippi with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a clinical sales representative role first, then building toward management. Large Mississippi health systems and regional distributors affiliated with facilities such as Merit Health and University of Mississippi Medical Center occasionally bring on associate sales reps or clinical support specialists who rotate into field roles. Earning a Certified Medical Sales Representative credential gives candidates a measurable edge. Lateral moves from clinical roles like surgical technologist or respiratory therapist into device sales also open the door effectively.
Where can I find and apply to clinical sales manager jobs in Mississippi?
You can find and apply to clinical sales manager jobs in Mississippi on Migrate Mate, which lists current Mississippi openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find the roles that match your background and target territory, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
