How do I get a communications job in Minneapolis?
Focus your search on Minneapolis's healthcare systems, major retailers headquartered here, and the city's active nonprofit and arts sector, all of which maintain in-house communications teams. The downtown core and the North Loop hold the densest concentration of openings. Candidates who show local media relationships, experience with Twin Cities audiences, or a portfolio tied to regional campaigns tend to stand out in this market.
Which companies hire communicationss in Minneapolis?

Minneapolis draws a wide range of employer types, from Fortune 500 corporations and large health systems to independent agencies and mission-driven nonprofits, giving communications professionals a variety of environments to work in.
Are there remote communications jobs in Minneapolis?

About 50% of communications openings tied to Minneapolis are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the field. Content strategy, internal communications, and digital PR roles tend to offer the most remote options locally.
How can I get a communications job in Minneapolis with little or no experience?
