Community Outreach Coordinator Internships

Position Description:

This hands-on internship is ideal for entry level individuals interested in sales, marketing, or community relations.

In this dynamic, people-facing role, you’ll represent the Lyte Fiber brand in neighborhoods and at community events—helping promote our high-speed fiber internet services. Interns will gain real-world experience in door-to-door sales, grassroots marketing, and customer interaction, while building valuable professional skills. This is a paid internship with hourly compensation plus commission opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Visit neighborhoods to promote Lyte Fiber services through direct, in-person outreach
• Communicate product benefits and help residents understand their options for faster internet
• Support grassroots marketing campaigns, including distributing flyers, posting signage, and local outreach
• Represent Lyte Fiber at community events, festivals, farmers markets, and pop-up booths
• Collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to share field feedback and refine strategies
• Track activity and performance metrics under the guidance of a mentor or team lead

Minimum Qualifications:

• Individual interested in learning sales, marketing, communications, or business
• Outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking with people in person
• Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to learn new skills
• Available for a flexible schedule, including some evenings or weekends for events
• Reliable transportation preferred (but not always required)
• Prior customer-facing or event experience is a plus—but not required

• Ability to walk for extended periods, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable standing for several hours at community events or outreach booths
• Ability to carry light marketing materials such as flyers, signs, and event supplies (up to 15–50 lbs)
• Capable of bending, reaching, and setting up tables or signage for grassroots marketing activities
• Must be able to speak clearly and engage in frequent verbal communication with the public
• Reliable transportation may be required to travel between neighborhoods or event locations
