Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners across marketing, product, and executive leadership to manage the day-to-day execution of PR/Communications and social media.
The ideal candidate will be based in the SF Bay area, and able to work on-site at our San Francisco office 3-4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Communications & PR
- Own and maintain the communications calendar — tracking all initiatives, timelines, deliverables, and outcomes, while managing an inventory of shareable assets.
- Own and evolve the media, analyst, and influencer database — researching new contacts, building targeted lists, and supporting outreach and pitch distribution.
- Develop core communications content — including media and influencer pitches, executive quotes and talking points, briefing materials, customer use case summaries, and press releases.
- Monitor and track press coverage — capturing relevant articles, identifying new media opportunities, tracking industry trends, and contributing to reporting and asset development.
- Support the Decision Intelligence Podcast program — researching and securing guests, drafting topics and questions, and coordinating scheduling and recording logistics.
- Support press release execution and distribution — managing content development and approvals, coordinating wire distribution and website posting, and tracking performance.
Social Media
- Own day-to-day management of Aera’s social media channels (LinkedIn and others), including content scheduling, publishing, and community engagement.
- Develop and maintain Aera’s social media content calendar — coordinating with marketing, product, and communications teams to support key announcements, campaigns, and events.
- Create and support social content development — partnering with the Content Director to draft posts, develop copy, and supporting assets aligned to Aera’s brand voice.
- Monitor social channels and conversations — tracking brand mentions, industry trends, and engagement opportunities, and responding or escalating as appropriate.
- Track and report on performance metrics — including reach, engagement, and follower growth, and surface insights to inform content strategy.
- Stay current on social trends and platform updates — bringing forward recommendations to continuously improve performance and engagement.
About You:
- 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, and social media for B2B technology companies
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style across different formats and audiences (social posts, press commentary, executive messaging).
- Experience supporting PR workflows, including media and influencer engagement, and familiarity with industry tools (e.g., Muck Rack, wire services, and media monitoring platforms).
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and project coordination skills — able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without dropping the ball.
- A proactive, curious mindset: comfortable doing research, synthesizing information, and bringing ideas to the table.
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively with cross-functional partners and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with AI tools to accelerate content creation and research workflows.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a B2B technology, SaaS, or enterprise software environment.
- Exposure to PR agency environments or experience working with external PR partners.
- Understanding of media relations and PR processes, including pitching, briefings, and coverage tracking.
- Experience creating and managing content for a company LinkedIn page or similar corporate social channel.
- Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

Target roles aligned with AI and decision intelligence
Aera Technology builds autonomous AI platforms for enterprise clients. Focus your applications on roles in machine learning, data engineering, and enterprise software development, where sponsorship is most consistently aligned with the company's core technical hiring needs.
Understand which visa types Aera Technology supports
Aera Technology sponsors H-1B visas and supports F-1 OPT and TN workers. If you're on OPT, applying early gives you runway for an H-1B transition before your authorization window closes, which matters in fast-moving hiring cycles.
Prepare for a technically rigorous interview process
As an AI-first company, Aera expects deep technical fluency. Brush up on machine learning fundamentals, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software architecture before interviews, since sponsorship decisions are closely tied to how confidently you demonstrate specialized expertise.
Apply through channels that verify sponsorship history
Not every job listing makes sponsorship eligibility clear upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you time and ensuring Aera Technology roles you find are confirmed to accept visa candidates.
Position your experience around enterprise-scale impact
Aera serves large global enterprises, so hiring managers favor candidates who've worked at scale. Highlight experience with high-volume data pipelines, cross-functional enterprise deployments, or AI systems in production, since these signal readiness for the complexity of Aera's client base.
Connect with Aera's talent team before the H-1B cap season
If you need H-1B sponsorship, timing matters. Reach out to Aera's recruiting team well before the annual H-1B registration window, giving both sides enough runway to assess fit, complete the LCA process, and file before the cap deadline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Aera Technology sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Aera Technology sponsors H-1B visas for qualified candidates in specialty occupations. The company has a track record of sponsoring technical roles in areas like AI, data engineering, and enterprise software. If you're targeting an H-1B through Aera, plan to engage with their recruiting team early, well ahead of the annual USCIS registration window, to allow time for the Labor Condition Application and petition preparation.
Which visa types does Aera Technology sponsor?
Aera Technology sponsors H-1B visas and works with candidates on F-1 OPT and TN visa status. If you're currently on OPT, Aera is worth targeting since they have experience supporting the transition from OPT to H-1B for employees in technical roles. TN eligibility applies to Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying professional categories that align with Aera's technical hiring areas.
What types of roles at Aera Technology are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Aera Technology is concentrated in technical and engineering roles. Positions in machine learning, data science, backend software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and AI product development are most closely aligned with the company's core business and represent the strongest sponsorship candidates. Business and administrative roles may have less consistent sponsorship availability, so candidates in non-technical functions should confirm eligibility directly during the recruiting process.
How do I find open roles at Aera Technology that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find Aera Technology roles with confirmed sponsorship eligibility. The platform verifies sponsorship history directly from government filing data, so you can filter for Aera specifically and see only roles where international candidates are genuinely considered. This removes the guesswork of applying to listings that don't clarify sponsorship status upfront.
How do I time my application to Aera Technology if I need H-1B sponsorship?
The H-1B cap registration typically opens in March, with an October 1 start date for approved petitions. To stay on schedule, you should be in active conversations with Aera's recruiting team by December or January at the latest. This gives both sides time to assess fit, complete the LCA filing with the Department of Labor, and prepare the full H-1B petition before the registration window closes.
