Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Manufacturing Jobs at Airgas Jobs
Align your credentials with DOT job codes
Airgas files Labor Condition Applications through DOL using Standard Occupational Classification codes. Match your resume language to titles like Industrial Production Manager or Chemical Equipment Operator so your application maps cleanly to their LCA filings.
Target roles requiring specialized process knowledge
Airgas operates across gas production, cylinder handling, and distribution infrastructure. Roles tied to compressed gas systems, cryogenic processes, or hazardous materials handling are harder to fill domestically, which strengthens the case for sponsorship at the offer stage.
Research open roles using Migrate Mate
Filter for Manufacturing positions at Airgas on Migrate Mate to find roles where sponsorship has been filed for comparable positions. This helps you focus your applications on functions with a demonstrated sponsorship pathway rather than applying broadly.
Prepare documentation showing specialty occupation status
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Manufacturing roles. Have transcripts, degree equivalency evaluations, and a detailed job description ready that demonstrates your position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field, not just general experience.
Verify your work authorization status before onboarding
Airgas is an E-Verify employer. Ensure your I-94 admission record reflects the correct status and that any OPT or STEM extension authorization documentation is current before your first day to avoid onboarding delays.

Find Manufacturing at Airgas JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Airgas sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Airgas has sponsored H-1B visas for Manufacturing positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role, and approval depends on whether the specific position qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Roles involving chemical process engineering, industrial safety, or technical operations are more likely to meet that threshold than general production floor positions.
Which visa types does Airgas commonly use for Manufacturing roles?
Airgas primarily uses the H-1B visa for Manufacturing professionals requiring specialized technical degrees. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories are used depending on the role's educational requirements and prevailing wage level. EB-3 is common for skilled positions that don't require advanced degrees, while EB-2 covers roles needing a master's degree or equivalent.
What qualifications does Airgas expect for Manufacturing roles?
Airgas typically seeks candidates with backgrounds in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or materials science for technical Manufacturing roles. Hands-on experience with compressed gases, cryogenic systems, or hazardous materials handling is a strong differentiator. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align directly with the role's core functions to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Airgas?
You can search and apply for Manufacturing positions at Airgas directly through their careers page. To find roles where sponsorship has been supported for similar functions, browse Migrate Mate's curated job board, which surfaces Airgas Manufacturing listings alongside sponsorship history. Apply with a resume that clearly connects your technical degree to the specific role responsibilities.
How do I plan around the H-1B timeline when targeting Airgas Manufacturing roles?
The H-1B cap lottery opens each March for an October 1 start date. If Airgas extends an offer in time, they can submit your lottery registration in March. If you're already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT, your existing work authorization buys time while the petition is processed. Plan your job search to have an offer in place before the March registration window.
