Frame Your Resume Around Distribution Operations
Applied Industrial Technologies operates in industrial distribution, so your resume should highlight supply chain coordination, inventory management, or vendor relations. Generic operations experience reads as a weak fit. Position your background against distribution-specific workflows to stand out.
Target Roles With Direct Hiring Managers
Applied Industrial's Operations openings span regional branches and corporate functions. Research which locations are actively hiring and apply directly through their careers portal, where your application reaches hiring managers rather than sitting in a central screening queue.
Clarify Sponsorship Intent Early in Interviews
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored immigrant visas for Operations hires before. Raise your sponsorship need before the offer stage so both sides can align on timelines. Waiting until the offer letter creates delays that can derail the hiring process entirely.
Understand the PERM Timeline for EB-3 Roles
EB-3 sponsorship for Operations roles requires a DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS can adjudicate the immigrant petition. That process alone can take 12 to 18 months. Factor that into your planning so you're not caught off guard after accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Openings
Not every Operations listing at Applied Industrial Technologies will lead to sponsorship. Search Migrate Mate to surface the specific openings where the company has a demonstrated sponsorship track record, so you're spending time on applications with realistic outcomes.
Obtain an EB-2 Credential Evaluation Before Applying
If you're pursuing EB-2 sponsorship, a foreign degree evaluation from a NACES-accredited evaluator confirming U.S. equivalency should be ready before you start interviewing. Employers need that documentation to support the USCIS petition, and delays in providing it slow the entire filing timeline.

Find Operations at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Applied Industrial Technologies' sponsorship activity for Operations is focused on employment-based immigrant visa categories rather than H-1B. Operations roles in industrial distribution often fall outside H-1B specialty occupation criteria, which require a direct relationship between a specific degree field and the job duties. If you're on an H-1B or need that pathway, confirm the role's eligibility directly with their HR team before applying.
Which visa types are commonly used for Operations roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has used EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for Operations hires. EB-3 is the more common path for operational and logistics roles that require at least a bachelor's degree or substantial skilled work experience. EB-2 applies where the role demands an advanced degree or exceptional qualifications. Both routes require DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS adjudicates the petition.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Operations roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies looks for Operations candidates with backgrounds in supply chain, warehouse management, logistics coordination, or industrial distribution. For sponsored positions, you'll typically need a relevant bachelor's degree or demonstrable years of progressive experience in a comparable operations environment. Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory control processes is a practical advantage across most of their Operations openings.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can browse current Operations openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where the company has a sponsorship history. Apply directly through Applied Industrial's careers portal after identifying the right opening. In your application materials, highlight distribution or supply chain experience and be prepared to discuss your visa status and sponsorship needs early in the interview process.
How long does the sponsorship process take for an Operations role at Applied Industrial Technologies?
For EB-3 sponsorship, budget at least 12 to 18 months for DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS even begins adjudicating the I-140 immigrant petition. Priority date backlogs can extend the total timeline further depending on your country of birth. Starting this process promptly after an offer is made is critical. Your employer's immigration counsel will coordinate filing, but understanding the sequence helps you set realistic expectations.
