Certify your technical credentials before applying
Applied Industrial Technologies prioritizes demonstrable repair and maintenance skills. Before submitting an application, gather documentation of any relevant certifications, trade qualifications, or equipment-specific training that align with industrial bearings, power transmission, or fluid power systems.
Target branch locations with sustained hiring demand
Applied Industrial Technologies operates service centers across the U.S. with ongoing Repair Technician openings. Research which regional branches have consistently listed these roles, as locations with persistent demand are more likely to move quickly on sponsorship-eligible candidates.
Understand how EB-3 fits your background
EB-3 is the most common Green Card pathway for skilled trades and technical roles. If your experience includes hands-on repair work rather than a four-year degree, the skilled worker subcategory under EB-3 is likely your route, and your employer initiates the PERM labor certification with DOL.
Ask about sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Before accepting an offer, confirm directly with the hiring manager or HR whether the position is eligible for employment-based sponsorship. Repair Technician roles at service-oriented companies like Applied Industrial Technologies can vary by location in whether sponsorship is budgeted upfront.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Repair Technician roles
Searching broadly misses roles where companies have an actual sponsorship history. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Repair Technician positions at Applied Industrial Technologies specifically, so you're only engaging with openings tied to verified sponsorship activity.
Prepare for PERM timeline realities before your start date
PERM labor certification through DOL can take 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition is even filed. If you're already in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant visa, confirm your authorized stay is long enough to bridge through the early stages of the Green Card process.

Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Repair Technicians?
Applied Industrial Technologies' sponsorship activity for Repair Technicians is concentrated in employment-based Green Card categories rather than H-1B. Repair Technician roles are typically classified as skilled trade or technical positions, which tend to fit EB-3 better than the H-1B specialty occupation standard. If H-1B is your current status, discuss portability and long-term sponsorship options directly with the hiring team.
Which visa types are commonly used for Repair Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Employment-based Green Card sponsorship, specifically under the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, is the documented pathway for Repair Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies. EB-3 skilled worker is the most practical fit for candidates with technical trade experience. This process begins with PERM labor certification filed by the employer through the Department of Labor before an I-140 petition is submitted to USCIS.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Repair Technician positions at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies typically looks for hands-on experience servicing industrial equipment, particularly in areas like bearings, power transmission components, hydraulic systems, or pneumatics. Relevant trade certifications, vocational training, or demonstrated experience in maintenance and diagnostics strengthen your application. Familiarity with the industrial distribution or manufacturing services environment is a practical advantage when targeting these roles.
How do I apply for Repair Technician jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Browse current Repair Technician openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with verified sponsorship history so you're not applying blind. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply directly through the company's careers portal. In your application, make your visa status and sponsorship need clear upfront to avoid delays later in the process.
How do I plan my timeline if Applied Industrial Technologies is sponsoring my Green Card?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM is a multi-stage process. DOL adjudication of the PERM application alone can take 12 to 18 months, followed by USCIS processing of the I-140 petition. If you're from a country with a backlog in the EB-3 category, your priority date determines how long you wait after I-140 approval. Start the conversation with your employer about timelines before your current work authorization expires.
