Align your credentials to dealership-specific engineering needs
Asbury operates large-scale dealership networks, so engineers with experience in systems integration, facilities, or automotive technology infrastructure are a stronger fit than those with purely manufacturing backgrounds. Frame your resume around operational and enterprise-scale environments.
Target roles that justify permanent residency sponsorship
Asbury's sponsorship history skews toward EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, which require PERM labor certification through DOL. Roles with specialized technical requirements or advanced degree minimums are the most likely candidates, so look for postings that specify those thresholds explicitly.
Raise sponsorship early in the interview process
Automotive retail companies often don't have a standing immigration policy the way large tech firms do. Confirm before your final round that the engineering team has budget and HR alignment to initiate a PERM filing, since that process typically takes 12 to 18 months from start to approval.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation upfront
EB-3 petitions require DOL to verify your qualifications meet the job's requirements. If your engineering degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before your offer stage so there's no delay when your employer initiates the PERM process.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open engineering roles at Asbury
Search Migrate Mate to browse current engineering positions at Asbury Automotive Group filtered by visa sponsorship history. This saves you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely and helps you prioritize openings that align with your visa pathway.
Understand how PERM advertising requirements affect your timeline
Before filing your PERM application, DOL requires Asbury to run a formal recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. This recruitment window adds several months to your overall timeline, so factor that into any decisions about your current visa status or grace periods.

Find Engineering at Asbury Automotive Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Asbury Automotive Group sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Asbury Automotive Group's sponsorship activity for engineering roles is concentrated in permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, you may be able to transfer to Asbury while your Green Card process is initiated, but you'd want to confirm that directly with their HR team during the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering roles at Asbury Automotive Group?
Engineering roles at Asbury Automotive Group are most commonly supported through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. EB-2 applies to positions requiring an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree or skilled labor. Both require PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before USCIS can adjudicate the petition.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Engineering roles at Asbury Automotive Group?
Asbury typically looks for engineers with backgrounds in systems, facilities, or automotive technology, given the operational nature of dealership networks. A relevant bachelor's degree is a baseline for most roles, with EB-2 positions requiring either an advanced degree or demonstrated exceptional ability. Prior experience in large-scale retail, fleet operations, or enterprise IT infrastructure tends to be relevant.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Asbury Automotive Group?
You can browse and apply for engineering roles at Asbury Automotive Group directly through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship history so you can identify the most relevant openings. When applying, tailor your materials to Asbury's dealership operations context and be prepared to address your visa status and sponsorship needs clearly in early conversations with their recruiting team.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship through an engineering role at Asbury?
The PERM labor certification process, which is the required first step for EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, typically takes 12 to 18 months through DOL before USCIS even begins reviewing the petition. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlogs can extend the overall timeline significantly. Start the conversation with Asbury's HR team as early as possible in your hiring process to understand where they are in their internal approvals.
