Established structural steel fabrication shop seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair shop equipment, production machinery, and facility systems. This position is critical to keeping production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment (saws, drills, welders, CNC equipment, forklifts, cranes, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Diagnose equipment failures and minimize downtime
- Maintain building systems, including lighting, air lines, and general facility upkeep
- Order and track maintenance parts and supplies
- Ensure compliance with shop safety standards
Requirements
- Prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment required. (Industrial maintenance a plus)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (Certifications and 3-phase a plus)
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Welding and light fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment issues
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment
- Ability to secure and transport material.
Work Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm
Overtime scheduled on Friday and Saturday as needed.
