Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
For H-1B eligibility, USCIS requires your degree field to directly relate to the Education role you're applying for. A curriculum design or instructional technology position needs a matched academic background, not just general education experience.
Target roles in academic departments directly
Bentley's strongest hiring tends to sit within business-focused academic units. Applying directly through department listings, not just the central HR portal, gets your application in front of faculty hiring committees who understand sponsorship and hold real decision-making authority.
Ask HR about the LCA filing stage early
Before USCIS sees your H-1B petition, Bentley's HR team must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance. Knowing where they are in that process helps you gauge the realistic start date for your role.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Education roles by visa type
Searching broadly wastes time on employers who don't sponsor. Migrate Mate lets you filter Education jobs at Bentley University specifically by visa type, so you're only reviewing roles where sponsorship is already on the table.
Prepare your foreign degree equivalency documentation in advance
If your Education qualification was earned outside the U.S., Bentley's HR and USCIS will both need to confirm it meets the specialty occupation threshold. A credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency, obtained before you receive an offer, prevents delays at the petition stage.

Does Bentley University sponsor H-1B visas for Education roles?
Yes, Bentley University sponsors H-1B visas for Education positions where the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Faculty and professional staff roles tied to specific degree requirements are the most common fit. The university's HR and legal teams handle the filing process, but you'll need an offer in place before sponsorship can begin.
How do I apply for Education jobs at Bentley University?
Applications go through Bentley's official careers portal, where Education roles are listed by department. For roles requiring sponsorship, it helps to state your visa status clearly in your application materials. Some positions are posted directly by academic departments, so checking faculty and departmental pages alongside the main portal increases your chances of finding active openings.
Which visa types does Bentley University commonly use for Education positions?
Bentley University sponsors H-1B visas for Education roles that meet specialty occupation criteria, and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates in eligible positions. TN visas are an option for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in appropriate roles. For longer-term pathways, the university has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for established staff.
What qualifications does Bentley University expect for Education roles?
Bentley's Education hiring typically requires a bachelor's degree at minimum, with many roles, particularly in faculty and academic advising, expecting a master's or doctorate in a relevant field. For H-1B sponsorship, your degree must align with the specific role. Practical experience in higher education settings, curriculum development, or student services is regularly listed in job descriptions.
How do I find Education roles at Bentley University that offer visa sponsorship?
The most efficient way is to use Migrate Mate, which aggregates Education jobs at Bentley University and filters them by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. This saves time compared to manually reviewing postings and contacting HR to ask about sponsorship eligibility for each individual role.
