How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Bentley University Visa Sponsorship USA
Target academic and research roles first
Bentley University's sponsorship activity is concentrated in faculty, research, and professional staff positions. Focus your search on roles in business, analytics, and liberal studies departments, where international hiring has historically been strongest.
Apply well ahead of H-1B cap deadlines
University roles often have longer hiring cycles than corporate positions. Targeting Bentley in the fall or early winter gives both you and the university enough runway to complete an H-1B petition before the April registration window.
Emphasize specialized expertise that aligns with their curriculum
Bentley's business and technology curriculum means it values niche academic credentials. Candidates with expertise in areas like quantitative finance, data analytics, or business ethics are a natural fit for the roles that attract sponsorship consideration.
Use a platform that tracks real sponsorship history
Not every university lists visa sponsorship in job postings. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where international candidates are unlikely to receive an offer.
Leverage Bentley's Green Card track record for long-term planning
Bentley has a strong track record of supporting permanent residency for qualifying staff and faculty. When interviewing, it's reasonable to ask about the university's process for transitioning sponsored employees from temporary status to Green Card.

Does Bentley University sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Bentley University sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying faculty and professional staff roles. The university has a consistent track record of H-1B filings, particularly for positions requiring specialized academic or business expertise. If you're in a relevant field, Bentley is a credible employer to target as an active H-1B sponsor in the education sector.
What visa types does Bentley University sponsor?
Bentley University sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, TN, and both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. It also supports F-1 students through OPT and CPT programs. This breadth makes it a strong option for international candidates at different stages of their immigration journey, from recent graduates to experienced professionals seeking permanent residency.
Which departments or roles at Bentley University are most likely to sponsor visas?
Sponsorship at Bentley University tends to concentrate in academic departments tied to its core business and liberal arts curriculum, such as finance, accounting, economics, information systems, and English. Professional staff roles in research, IT, and academic services are also candidates for sponsorship. Roles requiring highly specialized qualifications are the most likely to include visa support in an offer.
How do I find open roles at Bentley University that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which tracks verified sponsorship history by employer so you can confirm Bentley's track record before applying. From there, you can cross-reference with Bentley's own careers portal to identify current openings. Filtering for academic or professional staff roles in your field gives you the best chance of finding a position where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
How do I time my application to Bentley University around the H-1B cap?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March, with cap-subject petitions filed shortly after. To meet this timeline, you'd ideally receive and accept an offer from Bentley no later than February. That means starting your job search in the fall semester, applying through the winter, and allowing time for Bentley's hiring process, which at universities can run longer than in the private sector.
