Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Patient Service Specialist Jobs at Boston Medical Center Jobs
Obtain a CCAA or Medical Office Credential
Certifications like the Certified Clinical Administrative Associate or a medical office administration certificate signal readiness for Boston Medical Center's fast-paced registration environment and strengthen your petition when your employer files for H-1B or EB sponsorship.
Target BMC's Safety-Net Mission in Your Application
Boston Medical Center serves a high volume of underinsured and multilingual patients. Highlighting patient-facing language skills or experience navigating insurance access programs positions you as a stronger fit for their specific staffing needs.
Understand Which Visa Fits Your Patient Services Role
Patient Service Specialists typically qualify under H-1B if the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant pathways. Confirm the specific degree requirement listed in the job posting before assuming H-1B eligibility.
Track Your OPT Cap-Gap Window Carefully
If you're on F-1 OPT and BMC files an H-1B petition for you by the April deadline, cap-gap protection extends your work authorization through September 30. Missing that window means a gap in employment authorization, so monitor USCIS processing notices closely.
Browse Open Roles Directly Through Migrate Mate
Patient Service Specialist openings at Boston Medical Center are listed on Migrate Mate, filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. Search the platform to identify current openings and confirm which positions are actively being filled with sponsorship support.
Ask HR About PERM Timelines Before Accepting an Offer
If your long-term path involves an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card through BMC, PERM labor certification processing at DOL can take 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. Clarifying this timeline upfront helps you plan your immigration runway accurately.

How do I apply for Patient Service Specialist jobs at Boston Medical Center?
Open Patient Service Specialist positions at Boston Medical Center are posted on their careers portal and on Migrate Mate, where you can filter specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship. Boston Medical Center sponsors both nonimmigrant and immigrant pathways for this role. The H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant option for degree-holding candidates. How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Patient Service Specialist at Boston Medical Center?
For H-1B sponsorship, Boston Medical Center typically files during the April cap season, with employment starting October 1 if selected.
