Target engineering and technical roles first
Brunswick's manufacturing operations rely heavily on engineers, product developers, and technical specialists, the roles most likely to qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B sponsorship. Focus your application on positions where your degree directly matches the job requirements.
Understand Brunswick's multi-visa approach
Brunswick sponsors across multiple visa categories, including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Knowing which category applies to your nationality and situation lets you position yourself as a straightforward sponsorship case rather than a complex one.
Flag your OPT or CPT eligibility early
Brunswick has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT workers, which means hiring managers are familiar with the process. Mentioning your OPT authorization upfront removes uncertainty and signals you can start without an immediate H-1B petition.
Look beyond headquarters for sponsorship opportunities
Brunswick operates manufacturing and corporate facilities across the U.S. Roles at regional sites, not just the Illinois headquarters, have generated sponsorship activity, so filtering by location shouldn't narrow your search too aggressively.
Research Brunswick's Green Card track record
Brunswick has a solid history of sponsoring permanent residency through EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If long-term U.S. immigration is your goal, look for signs of employer-sponsored PERM activity in the roles and departments you're targeting.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified Brunswick openings
Brunswick's sponsorship history is documented through public filings, but finding current open roles that align with that history takes more digging. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and target Brunswick specifically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Brunswick sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Brunswick sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent track record of filing H-1B petitions, particularly for technical and engineering roles across its manufacturing divisions. If you're targeting Brunswick on an H-1B, focus on specialty occupation positions where your degree field directly aligns with the role's core duties.
Which visa types does Brunswick sponsor?
Brunswick sponsors a range of visa types, including H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. This breadth makes Brunswick accessible to international candidates from Australia, Canada, Mexico, and beyond, not just those dependent on the H-1B lottery.
Which departments or roles at Brunswick typically receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Brunswick tends to concentrate in engineering, product development, and technical operations, functions core to its manufacturing business across marine, fitness, and recreation segments. Corporate functions like finance, supply chain, and IT have also generated sponsorship activity, particularly for roles requiring specialized degrees or advanced expertise.
How do I find open jobs at Brunswick that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is using a platform that cross-references job listings with verified sponsorship data. Migrate Mate lets you search Brunswick specifically and filter for roles with a documented sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which positions are realistic targets for international candidates.
How do I approach the Brunswick application process as a visa-dependent candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status early in the process. Brunswick's familiarity with multiple visa categories means recruiters are generally comfortable with sponsorship conversations. Prepare to explain your specific visa category, your current authorization status, and your timeline, particularly if you're on OPT and approaching the 60-day or cap-gap window.
