Translate your credentials into U.S. equivalents
If your technical certifications or trade qualifications were issued outside the U.S., document how they map to domestic standards like EPA 608 or OSHA certifications. CBRE's facilities teams reference these credentials when building the specialty occupation case for visa petitions.
Target CBRE's facilities and engineering divisions
CBRE operates distinct service lines including Global Workplace Solutions and Real Estate Investments. Manufacturing Technician openings most often sit within the facilities management arm, so filter your search to those divisions rather than applying broadly across the company.
Confirm visa type eligibility before your interview
CBRE sponsors multiple visa categories for technical roles. Clarify early whether your background supports an H-1B, TN, or F-1 OPT pathway, since the documentation CBRE's HR team prepares differs significantly depending on which category your situation falls under.
Prepare for the LCA prevailing wage requirement
Before CBRE files an H-1B petition, DOL must certify a Labor Condition Application at the prevailing wage for your work location. Understanding regional wage levels for Manufacturing Technician roles helps you assess whether an offer aligns with what DOL will require.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active openings
Manufacturing Technician roles at CBRE turn over regularly across their U.S. portfolio. Use Migrate Mate to filter for CBRE positions that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're applying only to roles where the hiring team is already prepared for the process.
Align your offer timeline with H-1B cap deadlines
If you need an H-1B and aren't currently in a cap-exempt status, USCIS registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Time your CBRE offer acceptance and onboarding discussions with that window to avoid a gap in your work authorization.

Does CBRE sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Technicians?
Yes, CBRE sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing Technician roles when the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant degree or its equivalent. The strength of the petition depends heavily on how the job description is framed, your educational background, and whether your offered salary meets the DOL prevailing wage for the work location.
Which visa types does CBRE commonly use for Manufacturing Technician roles?
CBRE sponsors across several categories for technical roles, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, degree level, and how long you need authorization. TN is often faster for eligible candidates than waiting on H-1B cap selection.
What qualifications does CBRE expect for Manufacturing Technician positions?
CBRE typically looks for candidates with a background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a closely related technical field. Hands-on experience with HVAC, building automation systems, or facilities maintenance equipment is often expected. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align with the specific technical functions of the role, not just general engineering.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Technician jobs at CBRE?
Search for CBRE Manufacturing Technician openings through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles that include visa sponsorship so you avoid positions where international candidates aren't supported. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight technical certifications and systems experience relevant to CBRE's facilities management work, and confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter before investing time in the process.
How do I manage my work authorization timeline during the CBRE hiring process?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window before accepting an offer, since CBRE's onboarding and petition preparation takes time. For H-1B transfers from another employer, your new petition must be filed before your current status expires. USCIS allows portability after 180 days of approved status, which can provide flexibility if your start date shifts.
