Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
CEMEX logistics roles that qualify for H-1B sponsorship must meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria. A degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations is stronger than a general business degree when your hiring team files the Labor Condition Application with DOL.
Target CEMEX's regional distribution and plant roles
CEMEX staffs logistics positions across its cement plants, ready-mix networks, and distribution hubs nationwide. Roles tied to specific facilities or regional supply chains are more likely to have dedicated hiring pipelines and clearer sponsorship precedent than corporate-level generalist postings.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open logistics roles by visa type
CEMEX posts logistics openings across multiple functions and locations. Browse verified sponsorship-eligible positions at CEMEX directly on Migrate Mate to filter by the visa categories relevant to your situation before you apply.
Clarify your OPT or CPT authorization before your first interview
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT start date and STEM extension eligibility before outreach. CEMEX operates in a STEM-adjacent industry, and hiring managers need to know your authorized work window to plan any H-1B cap filing around the April 1 registration deadline.
Ask your recruiter about CEMEX's PERM timeline early
For EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship, CEMEX must complete a PERM labor certification through DOL before filing an immigrant petition. Understanding when your employer would initiate that process helps you assess your long-term path alongside any nonimmigrant visa they sponsor first.
Prepare documentation that reflects cross-border logistics experience
CEMEX sources and ships materials internationally, so experience with import/export compliance, customs coordination, or cross-border supply chains strengthens your candidacy. Gather project records, employer letters, and any certifications before the offer stage, since these directly support a specialty occupation petition.

Find Logistics at CEMEX JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CEMEX sponsor H-1B visas for Logistics roles?
Yes, CEMEX has sponsored H-1B visas for logistics and supply chain positions. Sponsorship is most common for roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations. Not every logistics posting qualifies, so confirming the role's degree requirement before applying is the right first step.
How do I apply for Logistics jobs at CEMEX?
You can find CEMEX logistics openings on their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific function, whether that's transportation, distribution, or supply chain planning, and be upfront about your work authorization status. CEMEX recruiters typically screen for authorization status early in the process.
Which visa types does CEMEX commonly use for Logistics positions?
CEMEX sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation logistics roles and supports TN visas for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are accepted for entry-level or internship logistics roles, particularly for students enrolled in supply chain or engineering programs. Longer-term sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways is available for employees already established in qualifying roles.
What qualifications does CEMEX look for in Logistics candidates needing sponsorship?
CEMEX typically expects a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a closely related field for roles that support visa sponsorship. Hands-on experience with transportation management systems, inventory control, or distribution operations is valued, especially for mid-level positions. Familiarity with large-volume materials handling or cross-border shipping is a practical differentiator given the nature of CEMEX's building materials business.
How do I time my application around H-1B filing deadlines at CEMEX?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with an employment start date no earlier than October 1. To be included in CEMEX's registration, you generally need an accepted offer and a completed Labor Condition Application filed with DOL before registration closes. Starting your job search by December and having an offer confirmed by February gives you the most realistic runway to be included in that cycle.
