Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Manufacturing Jobs at CEMEX Jobs
Align your credentials with CEMEX's LCA filings
Before applying, search DOL's LCA disclosure database for CEMEX job titles to see which Manufacturing specializations they've historically sponsored. Plant engineer, process technician, and quality control roles appear more frequently than general production titles.
Get your TN documentation ready early
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status is a fast path into CEMEX's Manufacturing roles and doesn't require a lottery. Have your degree credentials and a detailed offer letter confirming the professional engineering or scientific nature of the role before your border crossing.
Target CEMEX facilities with active capital projects
CEMEX plants undergoing upgrades or capacity expansions tend to open more specialized Manufacturing roles that require degree-level expertise, which strengthens the specialty occupation argument for H-1B. Monitor industry trade publications covering cement and aggregates for plant investment announcements.
Prepare for CEMEX's E-Verify process upfront
CEMEX is an E-Verify employer, so your work authorization documents must be current and consistent with your visa status the moment you start. OPT and CPT students should confirm their SEVIS record reflects the correct employer and start date before day one.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Manufacturing roles at CEMEX
Manufacturing positions at CEMEX aren't always flagged as visa-sponsored on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for CEMEX Manufacturing roles that include sponsorship, so you're applying to openings where the pathway already exists.
Push for PERM initiation during your offer negotiation
H-1B status alone doesn't lead to permanent residence. When negotiating your offer, ask whether CEMEX's immigration program includes PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, since large industrial employers often have a defined timeline for starting the EB-2 or EB-3 process after a qualifying period.

Find Manufacturing at CEMEX JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CEMEX sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, CEMEX has sponsored H-1B visas for Manufacturing professionals in the United States. Roles in process engineering, materials science, and plant operations are the most likely candidates, since they align with USCIS's specialty occupation standard requiring a directly related bachelor's degree or higher. General production or labor-classification roles typically don't qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at CEMEX?
Applications go through CEMEX's careers portal at cemexusa.com. Search by function using terms like process engineer, plant engineer, or quality assurance to surface Manufacturing-specific openings. Migrate Mate also lists CEMEX Manufacturing roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which saves time if you're specifically targeting positions where international hiring is confirmed.
Which visa types does CEMEX commonly use for Manufacturing positions?
CEMEX has sponsored H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Manufacturing roles, and has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term employees. TN is a practical entry point for Canadians and Mexicans in engineering-classified roles. F-1 OPT is commonly used for recent graduates in process engineering or materials-related disciplines before transitioning to H-1B.
What qualifications does CEMEX expect for sponsored Manufacturing roles?
Most sponsored Manufacturing roles at CEMEX require a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field. Roles focused on cement chemistry, kiln operations, or quality systems often favor candidates with industrial or heavy-materials experience. Relevant certifications in process safety or environmental compliance strengthen applications for plant-based positions.
How do I know if my visa status fits CEMEX's hiring timeline?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once a year, with the employment start date capped at October 1. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date allows enough runway to complete the H-1B lottery cycle. USCIS premium processing, currently available for H-1B petitions, shortens adjudication to roughly 15 business days and is often used for time-sensitive Manufacturing hires.
