Frame your credentials around CEMEX plant operations
CEMEX operates cement manufacturing, aggregates, and ready-mix facilities. Tailor your resume to reflect maintenance experience in heavy industrial or process-driven environments. Certifications in hydraulics, pneumatics, or PLC systems align directly with what their plant teams need.
Target CEMEX facilities in high-hiring regions
CEMEX's U.S. operations are concentrated in Texas, California, and the Southeast. Prioritize applying to plant and regional maintenance postings in those states, where workforce turnover and facility scale create the most consistent demand for sponsored roles.
Understand which visa fits your maintenance role
H-1B works if your maintenance position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineer categories. F-1 OPT can bridge you into a full-time offer if you're completing a technical degree.
Use Migrate Mate to find open sponsored positions
Search Migrate Mate's job board to filter for CEMEX maintenance roles that have active visa sponsorship. It saves you from applying to postings where sponsorship is discretionary or unlisted, focusing your effort on verified opportunities.
Confirm LCA filing status before your interview
For H-1B roles, your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your petition. Ask your CEMEX recruiter early whether the role has LCA approval in place, so your start date isn't delayed by the certification step.

Find Maintenance at CEMEX JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CEMEX sponsor H-1B visas for Maintenance roles?
Yes, CEMEX sponsors H-1B visas for Maintenance positions where the role requires a qualifying degree, typically in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. The role must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning a bachelor's degree in a specific field must be a genuine requirement for the position, not just a preference.
How do I apply for Maintenance jobs at CEMEX?
Apply directly through CEMEX's careers portal, where plant-level and regional maintenance postings are listed. You can also find CEMEX maintenance roles with confirmed sponsorship through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-eligible positions. When applying, highlight relevant industry experience in cement, aggregates, or heavy industrial environments to stand out to their operations hiring teams.
Which visa types does CEMEX commonly use for Maintenance positions?
CEMEX sponsors H-1B visas for degree-required maintenance and engineering roles, TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in engineering classifications, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in technical programs. For longer-term pathways, CEMEX also files EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for maintenance professionals in skilled or advanced-degree categories.
What qualifications does CEMEX expect for sponsored Maintenance roles?
CEMEX typically looks for hands-on experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment, conveyors, crushers, kilns, or processing machinery. For H-1B eligibility, the role generally requires a degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. Practical certifications in areas like predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, or PLC programming strengthen your application, particularly for senior plant maintenance positions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a CEMEX Maintenance offer?
For H-1B, USCIS standard processing runs several months after the April 1 filing window, with an October 1 start date for cap-subject cases. Premium processing can reduce USCIS adjudication to 15 business days. If you're pursuing a Green Card through CEMEX, PERM labor certification alone can take 12 to 18 months before your I-140 petition is filed.
