Frame your degree around sales qualifications
Cintas BDR roles typically require a bachelor's degree, and for H-1B sponsorship the degree field must relate to the role. Business, marketing, or communications degrees translate cleanly. If your degree is in an unrelated field, gather documentation showing how your coursework maps to sales and client development.
Target Cintas locations in high-hiring markets
Cintas runs a distributed field sales model, so open BDR territories vary by region. Focus your applications on metros with dense personal services and beauty industry clusters, where Cintas is actively expanding and where sponsorship approvals for this role have historically followed.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Cintas recruits heavily for BDR roles but not every hiring manager assumes sponsorship is on the table. Raise your visa needs directly after a positive first-round conversation, not at the offer stage, to give their HR team time to loop in immigration counsel.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring BDR openings
Not every Cintas job posting signals visa sponsorship. Search Migrate Mate to surface Business Development Representative roles at Cintas that are tied to verified sponsorship activity, so you apply to positions where immigration support is already part of the hiring process.
Understand how F-1 OPT bridges your timeline
If you're on F-1 OPT, Cintas can hire you before any H-1B filing. Standard OPT gives you 12 months; a STEM extension adds another 24 if your degree qualifies. Starting in an OPT-covered role gives both you and Cintas time to build a case before the next H-1B cap season.
Prepare for the PERM process if targeting long-term status
Cintas sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for qualifying employees, but PERM labor certification requires DOL to certify no qualified U.S. workers were available. For a BDR role, that typically means a documented recruitment process, so internal advocates and strong performance reviews matter before initiating this path.

Find Business Development Representative at Cintas JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cintas sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development Representatives?
Yes, Cintas sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development Representative roles. Sponsorship is not automatic with every BDR opening, so it's worth confirming eligibility early in the interview process. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation given its degree requirements, but your specific degree field and how it maps to the position will be reviewed during the H-1B petition.
How do I apply for Business Development Representative jobs at Cintas?
Applications go through Cintas's careers portal, where BDR openings are posted by region and territory. Migrate Mate is a practical starting point if you need to identify which postings are tied to active visa sponsorship before you apply. Tailor your resume to highlight field sales experience, territory management, and any background in service-based industries like personal services or beauty.
Which visa types does Cintas commonly use for Business Development Representative roles?
Cintas has sponsored H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Cards for employees in this function. For early-career candidates, F-1 OPT or CPT is often the entry point before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA professional categories.
What qualifications does Cintas look for in Business Development Representative candidates?
Cintas generally expects a bachelor's degree and demonstrated ability to prospect, manage a sales pipeline, and close new accounts in a field-based environment. Familiarity with service industry sales cycles is an advantage given Cintas's core markets, which include personal services and beauty businesses. For visa sponsorship, your degree field needs to align with the role requirements USCIS will evaluate.
How do I time my application around the H-1B cap season?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're targeting Cintas BDR roles that require cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, you need to be employed or have an offer in place before March so your employer can register you. If you're already on F-1 OPT, Cintas can keep you working through an approved OPT period while the H-1B processes.
