Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Technician Jobs at Classic Collision Jobs
Get ASE Certifications Before Applying
Classic Collision and the broader collision repair industry treat ASE certifications as a baseline credential. Completing I-CAR or ASE Body Repair and Painting certifications before you apply strengthens your petition and gives USCIS tangible evidence of specialized trade competency.
Target Shops With Active Technician Openings
Classic Collision frequently lists Technician openings across multiple states. Focus your outreach on locations with multiple open roles, since those shops are under the most pressure to hire and are more likely to move quickly on sponsorship conversations.
Clarify Sponsorship Type During Initial Interviews
Ask the hiring manager directly whether the role supports Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, or whether OPT is the intended bridge. Technician roles in collision repair typically fall under EB-3, and confirming this early prevents wasted time on both sides.
Understand the PERM Timeline for Trade Roles
EB-3 sponsorship for Technician positions requires the employer to complete PERM labor certification with DOL before filing an I-140. This process can take a year or more, so factor that into your employment timeline and discuss it with your hiring contact before signing an offer.
Use OPT to Build Your Shop Record First
If you are on F-1 OPT, use that period to document measurable output: cycle times, repair quality scores, and certifications earned. A strong shop record gives Classic Collision's HR team concrete justification when initiating a long-term Green Card petition.
Find Classic Collision Technician Roles on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter Technician openings at Classic Collision by visa type and location. This lets you identify which specific shops are actively sponsoring and apply directly to roles aligned with your visa situation.

Find Technician at Classic Collision JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Classic Collision sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Classic Collision's sponsorship activity for Technician roles is centered on employment-based Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT and CPT. The H-1B is designed for specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, and hands-on collision repair Technician roles generally do not meet that definition under USCIS guidelines.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Classic Collision?
You can browse and apply for Technician openings at Classic Collision through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can find positions that match your immigration status. When applying, highlight any ASE or I-CAR certifications prominently, as these are the credentials Classic Collision's hiring managers prioritize when evaluating Technician candidates.
Which visa types does Classic Collision use for Technician sponsorship?
For Technician roles, Classic Collision works with EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card pathways and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates currently studying in the United States. EB-3 is the most common path for skilled trade positions in collision repair, covering workers with less than two years of specialized training or who meet the requirements for skilled worker classification.
What qualifications does Classic Collision expect from Technician candidates?
Classic Collision looks for hands-on collision repair experience, with ASE certifications in body repair and refinishing being a strong differentiator. Familiarity with estimating systems, manufacturer repair procedures, and working in a high-volume shop environment is valued. For Green Card-sponsored roles, your credentials will also need to satisfy the DOL's prevailing wage and job requirements established during the PERM process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Technician role?
If Classic Collision sponsors you through the EB-3 pathway, the process starts with PERM labor certification filed with DOL, which can take 12 to 18 months or longer depending on audit risk. After approval, the employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, you may then face a priority date backlog before a Green Card becomes available. OPT provides a bridge while this process is underway.
