Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.
Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available within our Medical Oncology nursing team located in Kokomo at the Howard Oncology Center. If you are looking for challenging work and meaningful advancement, then you should consider a career with Community.

Obtain AWS Certification Before Applying
Healthcare facilities like Community Health Network maintain strict compliance standards for facility maintenance. Holding an AWS Certified Welder credential signals you meet industry benchmarks and strengthens your petition when USCIS evaluates the specialty requirements of your role.
Target Facilities Maintenance Hiring Cycles
Community Health Network posts Welder openings tied to capital projects and facility expansions. Align your applications with these cycles by monitoring their careers portal in Q1 and Q3, when healthcare systems typically approve new infrastructure budgets and open skilled trades positions.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness in Early Conversations
Healthcare employers sometimes centralize sponsorship decisions in HR rather than with hiring managers. Ask directly during your recruiter screen whether the facilities team is authorized to sponsor your specific visa category before investing time in technical interviews.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Verified Welder Openings
Sifting through job boards for roles that genuinely support visa sponsorship wastes time. Migrate Mate filters Community Health Network postings by sponsorship type, so you reach only positions where your visa category is already confirmed as an option.
Prepare Your I-9 Documentation Package Early
Community Health Network participates in E-Verify, so your employment eligibility documents must be ready the day you receive an offer. Gather your passport, visa stamp, and any existing work authorization documents in advance to avoid delays that could push back your start date.
Understand PERM Timelines for EB-2 or EB-3 Pathways
If you're pursuing a Green Card through Community Health Network, DOL's PERM labor certification is the first step and typically takes six to twelve months before USCIS even begins reviewing your immigrant petition. Factor that into any timeline you negotiate with your employer.

Find Welder at Community Health Network JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Community Health Network sponsor H-1B visas for Welders?
Community Health Network does sponsor H-1B visas, and Welder roles fall within the visa types the company supports. However, H-1B eligibility for trade and craft positions depends on whether the specific role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which requires a theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge. Confirm this with the recruiter before accepting an offer.
How do I apply for Welder jobs at Community Health Network?
Applications go through Community Health Network's official careers portal. Search for Welder or Facilities Maintenance roles and filter by location. Before applying, confirm the posting explicitly mentions visa sponsorship or contact the recruiting team directly. Migrate Mate also lists Community Health Network openings with sponsorship details pre-verified, which can save you significant screening time.
Which visa types are commonly used for Welder roles at Community Health Network?
Community Health Network has sponsored H-1B, TN, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visa holders. For Welder positions, TN visas are a practical option for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role qualifies under USMCA trade categories. EB-3 is the most common immigrant visa pathway for skilled trades workers pursuing permanent residency through an employer-sponsored Green Card.
What qualifications and experience does Community Health Network expect for Welder roles?
Expect requirements around specific welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding, along with experience reading technical blueprints and working to code in commercial or industrial environments. Healthcare facilities prioritize compliance with building codes and safety standards, so certifications from the American Welding Society carry real weight. Prior experience in a regulated or healthcare facility environment is a meaningful differentiator.
How long does the sponsorship and hiring process take for a Welder position?
Timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT can authorize work quickly if your OPT is already active. H-1B petitions take three to five months under standard USCIS processing, or two to three weeks with premium processing. EB-3 Green Card pathways start with PERM labor certification at DOL, which adds six to twelve months before USCIS adjudication even begins. Plan accordingly when negotiating start dates.
