Join Community
Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and local initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.
Commitment to Clinical Excellence
Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health (CFBH) embraces the importance of continued professional development and growth for its caregivers. We support our team members continued learning by providing up to 40 training hours per year. Unique learning is delivered through the Linda McClain Clinical Institute which offers over 100 free live CEU training options yearly. In addition, caregivers receive free access to Relias- a platform which offers over 1000 self-guided continued education opportunities.
Additionally, Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health has developed a Career Ladder to encourage caregivers' advancement in their careers. CFBH Career ladder offers bonuses and salary incentives for eligible caregivers who are committed to clinical excellence.
All Associate level Therapists are provided weekly supervision required for clinical licensure. We believe exceptional care matters, and prioritize your development; as such, this is provided at no cost to the caregiver. In addition, Community Fairbanks Behavioral Health offers PocketPrep, a free app that is an online study aid that will help our caregivers prepare for licensing exams (LSW, LCSW, LMHC-A, LMHC, LMFT-A, and LMFT) as well as reimburse eligible caregivers for the licensing exam fee.

Tips for Finding Mental Health Jobs at Community Health Network
Align your licensure before applying
Indiana requires state-specific licensure for most Mental Health roles. Confirm your LCSW, LMHC, or PMHNP credentials transfer or can be converted before your first interview. Community Health Network's hiring team will ask about this early.
Target roles with employer-sponsored PERM pathways
Mental Health positions tied to long-term patient caseloads are strong candidates for EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship. When reviewing open roles, ask the recruiter directly whether the position has been designated for permanent labor certification.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Mental Health openings
Not every Community Health Network posting advertises sponsorship eligibility upfront. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for visa-sponsoring Mental Health roles at the network, saving time you'd otherwise spend chasing non-sponsoring positions.
Negotiate your start date around H-1B timelines
If you're on F-1 OPT or TN status, map your current authorization expiry against USCIS H-1B cap filing windows. Community Health Network can file cap-subject petitions with an October 1 start date, so building a three-to-six month buffer into offer negotiations protects both sides.
Prepare a clinical portfolio for behavioral health interviews
Community Health Network's Mental Health hiring process often includes case-based assessments. Compile anonymized treatment summaries, therapy modality training certificates, and supervision records before your interview to demonstrate clinical depth beyond your resume.
Confirm CPT and OPT eligibility with your DSO early
If you're completing a clinical practicum or internship at Community Health Network under F-1 status, your Designated School Official must authorize CPT or OPT before your start date. USCIS treats unauthorized practical training as a status violation, so get written DSO approval first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Community Health Network sponsor H-1B visas for Mental Healths?
Yes, Community Health Network sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Mental Health roles. Positions such as psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed clinical therapists typically meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, which require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the role. Your employer initiates the H-1B petition with USCIS, so confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter during the offer stage.
Which visa types are commonly used for Mental Health roles at Community Health Network?
Community Health Network sponsors across several pathways for Mental Health professionals. H-1B is the most common route for licensed clinicians. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying mental health occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT cover students completing clinical training. For longer-term placements, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification is also offered for eligible roles.
What qualifications and experience are expected for Mental Health roles at Community Health Network?
Most Mental Health positions require a master's or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related clinical field, along with active Indiana state licensure such as LCSW, LMHC, or PMHNP. Community Health Network also looks for direct patient care experience, familiarity with electronic health record systems, and demonstrated competency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred for senior clinical roles.
How do I apply for Mental Health jobs at Community Health Network?
You can browse and apply for Mental Health roles at Community Health Network through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship. From there, applications typically move through an initial recruiter screen, a clinical interview with department leadership, and credential verification before an offer is extended. Having your licensure documentation and visa status history ready to share speeds up the process considerably.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Mental Health offer at Community Health Network?
Timeline depends on the visa type. H-1B cap petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so factor in a six-month runway if you're starting from an offer. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry and is faster. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship typically runs 12 to 24 months from initiation. Aligning your offer acceptance and current authorization expiry with these windows is critical.
