At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.
Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission.
Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.
The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.
About the Role
Commure's Infrastructure team runs on the tools it builds for itself and we are looking for a Technical Operations Associate to help build them faster. This is a hands-on, high-ownership technical role on our shared execution bench: a small team of builders who design, develop, and deploy the internal applications, automations, and data workflows that keep every corner of the Infrastructure team operating at full speed.
In this role, you'll work fluidly across two technical stacks: Retool for internal systems and operational dashboards, and Vercel/Cursor for AI-powered applications and agent workflows moving between both based on where your skills are needed most. One week you might be building a credentialing tracker in Retool; the next, deploying an AI agent that automates a manual exception-handling workflow. You'll design and maintain tools connected to live data via APIs, SQL, and webhooks, so teams are always working from accurate, current information.
This is a builder role. You'll ship real tools that real teams depend on and see the operational impact of your work directly and immediately. You default to prototyping over planning documents, get things in front of users fast, and iterate based on feedback treating internal operators as real customers.
The ideal candidate is technically versatile, curious about AI tooling, and energized by operational variety across credentialing, exceptions, integrations, and BizOps. You're self-directing and reliable leads need to trust that work gets done, documented, and handed off cleanly and you communicate what you're building in plain language to non-technical stakeholders without losing the nuance of what makes it work.
This full-time position requires working 5 days a week in our Mountain View, CA office.
What You Have
Required
- 3–5 years in a technical operations, business systems, or software development role, with hands-on production experience building internal tools in Retool and deploying web applications via Vercel using AI-assisted development environments like Cursor
- Solid command of SQL — writing complex queries, modeling data for reporting, and designing ETL pipelines that eliminate manual reporting overhead and keep the operational data layer clean and current
- Experience integrating systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and database connectors, with the ability to instrument workflows with logging and monitoring to proactively surface issues before they impact operations
- Practical experience building with LLMs and AI tools — including prompt engineering, API integration, and multi-step agent workflows — to automate high-volume operational tasks such as exception triage, credentialing checks, and data aggregation
- Ability to integrate LLM capabilities (summarization, classification, routing, and escalation logic) into existing internal tooling, and a habit of staying current with the AI landscape to bring techniques that create genuine operational leverage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner directly with operational leads, translate business needs into technical solutions, document what you've built, and onboard the teams that depend on it
Preferred
- JavaScript or Python experience for scripting, app development, and data pipelines
- Background in healthcare tech, SaaS operations, or clinical workflow environments
- Familiarity with BI tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau) for reporting and visualization
- Experience serving multiple internal stakeholders in a shared services or platform team model
- Exposure to workflow automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, or n8n

Tips for Finding Technician Jobs at Commure
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility for Technician roles requires your degree to directly relate to the technical functions of the position. Review how Commure frames the role's requirements and confirm your field of study maps to the job description before applying.
Target Commure's healthcare technology infrastructure teams
Commure hires Technicians specifically to support its clinical and hospital software platforms. Framing your experience around healthcare IT environments, device integration, or clinical workflow systems will resonate more than general technical support backgrounds.
Clarify sponsorship intent early in recruiter conversations
Ask the recruiter directly which visa categories Commure has processed for this role. Commure sponsors H-1B, TN, and OPT, so confirming which pathway applies to your situation before the offer stage avoids delays in filing.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Technician openings
Filter by visa type and role category on Migrate Mate to identify which Commure Technician listings are currently active and which sponsorship types each position supports, so you can prioritize applications that match your status.
Prepare your OPT authorization documents before onboarding
If you're entering on F-1 OPT, confirm your EAD card reflects the correct employer and start date before your first day. USCIS processing for EAD amendments can take weeks, and Commure's onboarding requires verified work authorization before clearance.
Understand TN eligibility requirements for Technician classifications
TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals requires your role to match a specific USMCA job category. Confirm with Commure's HR team that the Technician position qualifies under a recognized TN classification before accepting an offer contingent on this pathway.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Commure sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
Yes, Commure sponsors H-1B visas for Technician roles. The position must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related technical field. Commure's Technician roles typically involve clinical software systems and healthcare infrastructure, which generally support specialty occupation classification under USCIS criteria.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at Commure?
You can browse active Technician openings at Commure through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify roles that match your immigration status. Once you find a relevant opening, apply directly and flag your visa situation to the recruiter early so Commure can confirm the appropriate sponsorship pathway before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Commure commonly use for Technician roles?
Commure sponsors several visa categories for Technician positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN visa, and EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering the role, while H-1B is the standard long-term option. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role qualifies under USMCA job categories.
What qualifications does Commure expect for Technician positions?
Commure's Technician roles are embedded in its healthcare technology platform, so candidates with backgrounds in IT support, systems integration, clinical device management, or software troubleshooting in medical or hospital environments are well-positioned. A relevant technical degree strengthens your H-1B eligibility, and hands-on experience with electronic health record systems or clinical workflow tools is a practical differentiator.
How do I plan my timeline around Commure's sponsorship and filing process?
If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to H-1B, the annual cap registration window opens in March, with employment start dates no earlier than October 1. Coordinate your offer timing with Commure's HR team so your petition is filed promptly after selection. For PERM-based Green Card pathways, DOL processing currently runs several months, so starting that conversation early with your sponsoring manager matters.
